摘要: According to the present invention there are provided a highly reliable electrode of high strength which undergoes little change even with the lapse of time, and a method for making the same, as well as a vacuum valve using such electrode and a vacuum circuit breaker using such vacuum valve. The vacuum circuit breaker has a fixed electrode and a movable electrode, each comprising an arc electrode, an arc electrode support member for supporting the arc electrode, and a coil electrode contiguous to the arc electrode support member, the arc electrode, the arc electrode support member and the coil electrode being formed as an integral structure by melting, not by bonding, particularly the arc electrode support member and the coil electrode being constituted by a Cu alloy containing 0.05-2.5% by weight of at least one of Cr, Ag, W, V and Zr.

摘要: An apparatus for generating plasma by making use of electron cyclotron resonance employs permanent magnets for forming magnetic fields, and the permanent magnets are arranged in such a manner as to form stronger magnetic fields in peripheral portion of a plasma chamber than in a central portion of the same. in addition, a cross-sectional area of the plasma chamber is gradually increased. Furthermore, electrons are introduced into an additional plasma chamber in which an electric field is not applied so as to generate low-temperature plasma.

摘要: The present invention relates to a puffer type circuit breaker having a high voltage and large capacity, which is provided with an insulating nozzle for blowing a arc-extinguishing gas of high pressure generated by separating a movable contactor from a fixed contactor. The fixed contactor has a larger diameter portion formed on the base portion thereof and a smaller diameter portion formed at the tip end thereof, and the insulating portion has a first throat portion adjusted by the smaller diameter portion and a second throat portion located at the downstream side of the first throat portion and adjusted by the larger diameter portion, thereby allowing the gas inlet portion to be formed by the diameter difference between the first throat portion and the smaller diameter portion which is in such manner that the second throat portion is adjusted by the larger diameter portion. By virtue of these features, when the contactors are separated from each other, even if the arc-extinguishing gas of high pressure flows into the space between the first throat portion and the second throat portion, the rapid gas flow is not generated therein. Accordingly, since the arc-extinguishing gas is prevented from lowering the gas density on the tip of the fixed contactor, it is possible to improve the breaking ability of small capacitive current.

摘要: Disclosed is a switch operation monitoring apparatus for quickly and accurately detecting an abnormal operation of an actuating mechanism actuating a switch such as a power circuit breaker. A normal characteristic stroke of a moving part of the actuating mechanism is previously calculated on the basis of an interrupting current waveform, an environmental gas pressure and an actuating fluid pressure while taking into account the structure of the switch so as to use the calculated characteristic stroke as a reference stroke, and this reference stroke is compared with an actually measured characteristic stroke to decide whether the operation of the actuating mechanism actuating the switch is normal or abnormal.

摘要: A vacuum interrupter comprises a vacuum vessel, at least a pair of electrical conductor rods extending from interior to exterior of the vacuum vessel, and at least a pair of separable composite electrodes respectively connected to the tip of the electrical conductor rods. Each of the composite electrodes has a main electrode, a parallel magnetic field generator for generating a parallel magnetic field which acts on an arc created when one main electrode is separated from the other, and a magnetic field suppressor of high electrical conductivity embedded in a central portion of the main electrode for partly cancelling the parallel magnetic field. In the vacuum interrupter, when the parallel magnetic field permeates through the magnetic field suppressor, eddy current flow is caused therein. A magnetic field due to the eddy current has a polarity opposite to that of the parallel magentic field and partly cancels the parallel magnetic field. Intensity of the parallel magnetic field then becomes smaller at the central portion than that at the other peripheral portion, and the arc tends to shift from the magnetic field suppressor to the outer peripheral portion, thereby preventing fusion damage of the magnetic field suppressor.

摘要: A vacuum switch having a fixed side electrode unit and a movable side electrode unit mounted in a vacuum vessel. Each electrode unit includes an arc electrode, an arc electrode supporting member for supporting the arc electrode, a coil electrode and a conducting rod. Joining portions between the arc electrode and the arc electrode supporting member, the coil electrode and the conducting rod are integrally and directly formed metallurgically by solid phase diffusion using a hot isostatic process. A vacuum circuit breaker may be constructed incorporating the vacuum switch.
