Abstract: An LCD device includes an LCD panel, a source driving part, an operating part, a mean voltage generating part, and a pre-charging part. The LCD panel includes a switching element and a liquid crystal capacitor. The switching element is formed in a region defined by gate and source lines adjacent to each other. The liquid crystal capacitor is electrically connected to the switching element. The source driving part converts data signals into data voltages of analog type. The operating part determines a mean data signal of the data signals. The mean voltage generating part converts the mean data signal into a mean data voltage of analog type. The pre-charging part selectively applies the data voltages and the mean data voltage to the source lines, thereby improving an image display quality of the LCD device.

Abstract: In a backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display device using the backlight assembly, a lamp assembly is mounted on a receiving container and includes lamps. The lamps are connected in parallel and are turned on by the power voltage supplied from a lamp driving module. Sensors are disposed in the receiving container to face the lamps, and detect operation state of the lamps to output sensing signals. A voltage cut-off module is disposed outside of the receiving container, provides the lamp driving module with a voltage cut-off signal when at least one of the sensing signals has an amplitude smaller than a reference signal. The deterioration of the lamps may be prevented, and the life expectancy of lamps may be increased.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of forming a floating gate in a non-volatile memory device having a self-aligned shallow trench isolation (SA-STI) structure. First, a tunnel oxide layer is formed on a semiconductor substrate having a SA-STI structure. Next, a first floating gate layer is formed on the tunnel oxide layer at a first temperature of no less than about 530° C. A second floating gate layer is then formed on the first floating gate layer at a second temperature of no more than 580° C. After depositing the first floating gate layer, the second floating gate layer is in-situ deposited to prevent the growth of a native oxide layer on the surface of the first floating gate layer. Thus, gate resistance can be reduced and process time can be shortened.

Abstract: Disclosed is an incombustible composition, an incombustible construction product using the incombustible composition, and a method of producing the incombustible construction product. The incombustible composition includes 1 to 80 wt % of organic or inorganic fiber, 1 to 80 wt % of fly ash or bottom ash, 1 to 80 wt % of fire-proofing agent, and 1 to 60 wt % of fire-retardant curing agent. Additionally, the method includes mixing components, constituting the incombustible composition, with each other, and shaping the incombustible composition using a roller press or an autoclave. Therefore, the incombustible composition is advantageous in that it is environmentally-friendly because it contains waste materials, and that it has excellent hardness, strength, and water resistance. Other advantages are that its production costs are relatively low, and that it has excellent incombustibility, depending on the contents of the components constituting the incombustible composition.
