Abstract:
A liquid crystal optical device including a liquid crystal/polymer composite film including of a matrix polymer composed mainly of a transparent resin having an ionic dissociative group and, dispersed therein, a liquid crystal particle; and conductive substrates sandwiching the liquid crystal/polymer composite film therebetween, at least one of the conductive substrates being transparent. A method for producing the liquid crystal optical device according to the present invention includes the steps of dispersing a liquid crystal in a dispersion medium composed mainly of water to prepare an oil-in-water type emulsion; preparing a composition for electrodeposition through the use of the resultant emulsion and a resin for a matrix polymer; electrodepositing the composition for electrodeposition on a conductive base material to form an electrodeposited coating; and drying the electrodeposited coating to form on the conductive base material a liquid crystal/polymer composite film including a matrix polymer and, dispersed therein, a liquid crystal particle.
Abstract:
A method of and system for compiling a source program, in which a translator translates source programs into executable programs and generates a name table and a name mutual reference information table that contain names used in the source programs. A text editor edits the source program to-be-compiled on the basis of information in a displayed name mutual reference table obtained from information in the name table and the name mutual reference information table. By selectively designating a part necessary for the editing, from within the displayed name mutual reference table, and then starting the text editor, it is possible to efficiently perform operations from the generation of the name mutual reference table for the names used in the source programs, to effect editing of the source program.
Abstract:
Prior to the press-contact between a pattern-transferring flat plate and a transfer-receiving flat plate, at least one of these flat plates is moved to a predetermined position to effect the positioning therebetween, while the positional relation between the pattern-transferring flat plate and the transfer-receiving flat plate is optically observed, and thereafter these flat plates are sequentially press-contacted to each other from an end of the flat plates. Therefore, there is no positional difference between the flat plates which have been correctly positioned, and further the adhesion strength between the transfer pattern and the transfer-receiving flat plate is uniform.
Abstract:
An electro-optic device comprises a plurality of first electrodes provided on a top substrate and a second electrode provided on a bottom substrate, the first electrodes confronting the second electrode through electro-optical matter which will show electro-optical phenomena by the application of electric field, the first and second electrodes being connected through external impedance elements such as resistors or capacitors to a variable voltage source. In this electro-optic device, the electric field applied between the first and second electrodes are partially changed by various means, for instance, by making the areas of the first electrodes different, or by varying the values of the external impedance elements such as resistors or capacitors, as a result of which the electro-optical matter shows various electro-optical phenomena.
Abstract:
To accurately tune the vibration frequency of a suspension during assembly.Secured positions 3e where a magnetic circuit part 2 is secured to a suspension 3 are provided near to each other. From among the secured positions 3e, secured positions 3e suitable for the characteristics of a suspension 3 to be mounted and the weight of a magnetic circuit part 2 are selected and secured to each other. Thus, the distance between the securing position and the central position of vibration of a suspension 3 and a housing 1 can be changed to tune the frequency to the desired value.

Abstract:
A multilayer substrate includes an insulating base member having a plurality of resin films, an electric element embedded in the insulating base member, and a spacer. The resin films are made of a thermoplastic resin and stacked and attached to each other. At least one resin film has a through hole for inserting the electric element. The one resin film further has a plurality of protruding members. One protruding member opposes to another one protruding member so that the one and the another one contact and sandwich the electric element. The spacer is arranged between the one resin film and an adjacent resin film and is disposed at a base portion of one of the protruding members.
Abstract:
A multilayer board includes a base member made of an insulation material. A plurality of conductor patterns is disposed in the base member in a multi-layered manner. A plurality of interlayer connectors is disposed in the base member, and is electrically connected to the conductor pattern by a heating process. An electronic device is disposed in the base member, and is electrically connected to at least one of the interlayer connector and the conductor pattern. The electronic device includes an electrode made of a material having a melting point higher than a temperature of the heating process.
Abstract:
A multi-layer printed circuit board includes: a resin substrate including a plurality of laminated thermoplastic resin films; a thin film resistor embedded in the resin substrate; and an electrode disposed on the thin film resistor. The thermoplastic resin film includes a conductive pattern made of metallic film. The electrode is covered with the conductive pattern disposed over or under the electrode.
