摘要:
A tissue engineering construct made from a nonwoven fabric. The fabric is made from first and second staple fibers. The first staple fibers are made from a first biocompatible, bioabsorbable material, and the second staple fibers are made from a second biocompatible, bioabsorbable material. The first material has a melting temperature lower than the second material. The fabric is formed into a three-dimensional construct suitable for the repair of urinary tract structures.

The present invention is directed to a method of using a multilayered fabric comprising a first absorbable nonwoven fabric and a second absorbable woven or knitted fabric in tissue repair and regeneration.
摘要:
A biocompatible meniscal repair device is disclosed. The tissue repair device includes a scaffold adapted to be placed in contact with a defect in a meniscus, the scaffold comprising a high-density, dry laid nonwoven polymeric material and a biocompatible foam. The scaffold provides increased suture pull-out strength.

The present invention is directed to a method of using a multilayered fabric comprising a first absorbable nonwoven fabric and a second absorbable woven or knitted fabric in tissue repair and regeneration.
摘要:
An implantable biodegradable porous fibrous matrix is disclosed, the fibrous matrix being constructed of fibers arranged in a nonwoven array. The density of the nonwoven array is adjusted in the manufacturing process to obtain an optimum density of the array for tissue ingrowth. When implanted, the optimum density fibrous matrix provides for a superior biological response of the host in terms of tissue growth, especially for tissues containing glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). The optimum density fibrous matrix is therefore provided with properties useful in repair and/or regeneration of mammalian tissue.

The invention is a method for the treatment of mammalian articular cartilage disorders, inflammatory joint disease, trauma-related cartilage injuries, and degenerative disc disease. The method involves treating the affected area with a composition containing a therapeutically effective dose of Centella extract. The composition is delivered locally by parenteral administration to the affected site.
