摘要： In a disk reproducing apparatus a plurality of disks each carrying information recorded therein are inserted through an insertion opening and arrayed and held in a predetermined direction and a desired disk is selected for reproduction from the plurality of disks arrayed and held therein. The disk reproducing apparatus comprises a disk holding device including a plurality of trays arranged for holding thereon the plurality of disk respectively, a disk carrying device which carries the disk between the insertion opening and the tray, and a disk reproducing device which is carried to be positioned outside an area where a disk held by the disk reproducing device exists when the disk is not being reproduced and positioned that at least a portion is inside the area where the disk exists, when the disk is being reproduced. The disk carrying device and the disk reproducing device are juxtaposed in a direction in which disks are arrayed when the disk is not being reproduced. With this feature, minimization of the entire size of the apparatus and simplification of the construction are realized.

摘要： Disclosed are a method of and an apparatus for controlling a magnetic disc drive including a magnetic head in which a write head and a read head are separated. The control method comprises: a step of calculating a moving quantity up to a designated target track position in accordance with a write instruction or a read instruction and calculating a moving quantity from the moving quantity up to the target track position and a yaw angle offset quantity in accordance with the read instruction or the write instruction; and a step of locating the magnetic head in the target track position by seek-controlling the rotary type actuator in accordance with the calculated moving quantity. The control apparatus comprises: a first control circuit for indicating a seek to a designated target track in accordance with a write instruction or a read instruction; and a second control circuit for calculating a moving quantity up to a designated target track position in accordance with the write instruction or the read instruction, calculating a moving quantity from the moving quantity up to the target track position and a yaw angle offset quantity in accordance with the read instruction or the write instruction and thus seek-controlling the rotary type actuator in accordance with the calculated moving quantity.

摘要： In a light emitting diode array, an N-electrode layer (32) is extended from the bottom surface to the top surface of a semiconductor body (30) through the side surface. PN junctions (42) are exposed to the cleavage surface (S) and light is emitted therefrom. Since the N-electrode layer and P-electrode layers (41) are located on a common surface, the LED array can be mounted on a base plate through a soldering process. The LED array can be used without a self-focus lens array in an electric printer for photography.

摘要： A multiple-disc player includes a player housing in which a disc holder housing discs held on respective plate-like trays is loaded. Desired discs are selected and transferred successively from the disc holder onto the disc carrying surface of a turntable by a disc pickup/transfer mechanism for continuous disc playback operation. A playback means including the turntable is supported on a support member through a vibration-resistant mechanism. The support member is movable between retracted and unretracted positions with respect to the trays as they are pushed out of the disc holder. When the support member is in the unretracted position, the playback means is fixed to the player housing by a lock mechanism for increased resistance to vibration.
