摘要: On a first piezoelectric sheet of a piezoelectric vibrator, a second piezoelectric sheet is stacked with interposition, between the sheets, of first-set electrodes (24(1), 24(2)) formed on an upper surface of the first piezoelectric sheet. Second-set electrodes are formed on an upper surface of the second piezoelectric sheet with each placed halfway between two adjacent ones of the first-set electrodes. The second piezoelectric sheet is poled in directions from each second-set electrode to the two adjacent ones of the first-set electrodes. Preferably, third-set electrodes are formed on a lower surface of the first piezoelectric sheet with each arranged halfway between two adjacent ones of the first-set electrodes. In this event, the first piezoelectric sheet is poled in directions from each third-set electrode to two adjacent ones of the first-set electrodes. Each first-set electrode has a first end along a side surface of the first piezoelectric sheet with each second-set and each third-set electrode possessed of a second and a third end along opposite side surfaces of the first and the second piezoelectric sheets. First and second common outside electrodes are formed on such side surfaces in contact with the first end of each first-set electrode either directly or through a first common electrode and in contact with the second and the third ends of the second-set and the third-set electrodes either directly or through second and third common electrodes.

摘要: A flow of hydraulic oil induced by sliding movement of a piston in a cylinder is controlled by a pilot-type main valve and a pilot valve, which is a pressure control valve, to generate a damping force. The pilot valve is adjusted in its valve-opening pressure with the thrust of a solenoid and adjusts the pressure in a back pressure chamber to control the valve-opening pressure of the main valve. A baffle plate is provided in a reservoir to isolate the surface of hydraulic oil in the reservoir from an inlet port through which the hydraulic oil flows into the reservoir from a damping force generating mechanism, thereby suppressing the occurrence of aeration and cavitation. The baffle plate is secured by inserting a connecting port through a positioning opening and holding a separator tube with a pair of arm portions.

摘要: A multilayered reflective polarizing film is provided that has high polarization performance comparable to that of an absorption-type polarizing plate, and is preferred as a polarizing plate attached to a liquid crystal cell. An optical member for liquid crystal display devices, and a liquid crystal display device formed from such a multilayered reflective polarizing film are also provided. Specifically, the reflective polarizing film includes a uniaxially stretched multilayered film in which a specific aromatic polyester containing (alkylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid as a part of dicarboxylic acid components is used as a first layer, and an optically isotropic polyester having an average refractive index of 1.50 to 1.60 is used as a second layer, and that has a predetermined refractive index difference between the layers. The reflective polarizing film has an angle of orientation of 2 degrees or less.

摘要: A piston with a piston rod coupled thereto is inserted in a cylinder, which sealingly contains oil. An oil flow generated by movement of the piston is controlled by a damping force generation mechanism, thereby generating a damping force. A separator tube is disposed around the cylinder, and the oil is transmitted to the damping force generation mechanism through a branch tube integrally formed on a cylindrical sidewall of the separator tube. The branch tube is tapered at the outer circumferential portion thereof with the outer diameter thereof reducing toward the distal end of the branch tube.
