Abstract:
A device for multisensory stimulation, comprising a support which is adapted to support a user in a correct position; a base structure which is adapted to support the support; a movement mechanism which is adapted to create a relative motion of the support with respect to the base structure; a stimulation apparatus which is connected to the base structure and is adapted to stimulate at least part of the senses of the user; and an electronic card which is adapted to control the movement mechanism and the stimulation apparatus.
Abstract:
An ottoman holds a foot massage unit accessible through an opening in the ottoman to permit dual use of the ottoman as a footrest and foot massage without substantial repositioning.
Abstract:
This invention provides a method for enhancing ticket sales in theaters by installing massage chairs instead of conventional chairs to enable the viewer or patron to tone its mind and body while watching a performance. Increase in revenue is through increase in attendance and or increase in pricing. In a theater setting where not all of the chairs are replaced by massage chairs, the massage chairs are equipped with certain features and certain procedures for access and activation are placed to ensure that only patrons who paid at a premium can use the massage chairs.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for preventing osteopenia, promoting bone tissue growth, ingrowth, and healing of bone tissue includes the step of and apparatus for applying a mechanical load to the bone tissue at a relatively low level on the order of between about 50 and about 500 microstrain peak-to-peak, and at a relatively high frequency, preferably in the range of about 15 and about 55 Hz. Mechanical loading at such strain levels and such frequencies has been found to prevent bone loss and enhance new bone formation.

Abstract:
The system provides a real-time video and audio communication with a 911 call center to perform effective CPR on a patient experiencing OHCA with real-time monitoring and feedback. The system includes a Mobile App that communicates with a smart phone with camera, a wireless remote-CPR equipment stand and emergency CPR kit. The mobile app will automatically send a link to a caregiver's cell phone responsive to a 911 call placed by the caregiver, to establish a secured video call via which the 911 center can guide the caregiver in performance of CPR until an ambulance arrives.
Abstract:
A far infrared (“FIR”) sauna cabin equipped with a far infrared (“FIR”) heating elements constructed of ceramic, carbon, and/or light emitting diodes (“LED”), designed for therapeutic use in a sauna, capable of emitting far infrared energy, and heating an individual's skin for purposes of rejuvenation, anti-aging, weight loss, and acne therapy. The FIR heating element emits IR energy in a wavelength and frequency optimum for resonant absorption by the human body, resulting in the release of toxins stored within subcutaneous fatty deposits, which are then carried out of the person's system as he or she sweats. The FIR sauna is operated by a system comprising a local control system and a remote computer running access control software. A user account is configured containing a user's allowed privileges. When a user swipes an access card, the remote computer verifies the requested privilege. If allowed, the local system energizes the sauna system.
Abstract:
A patient support apparatus includes a patient support structure, such as a bed frame or mattress or both, that is configured to support a patient in a recumbent position. The patient support structure is configured to provide at least one therapy to a patient. A therapy enabler token is coupleable to the patient support structure. The at least one therapy is disabled when the therapy enabler token is decoupled from the patient support structure and the at least one therapy is enabled in response to the therapy enabler token being coupled to the patient support structure.
