    摘要: The present invention provides an acrylated polyolefin tubing (12) crosslinked by irradiation. The tubing (12) is electrically insulating and can be heat shrunk upon a substrate (14) for perfecting a fluid tight seal therewith. The tubing (12) remains adhesively sealed to the substrate (14) and maintains heat sealability after cyclic autoclave sterilization. Moreover, the subject tubing does not permanently discolor after cyclic gamma or electron beam sterilization. The tubing (12) is particularly useful as an outer sheath for electro-surgical instruments (18).

    摘要: Disclosed is a heat shrinkable polyester film which does not suffer (namely natural shrinkage), is suppressed in decrease of the shrinkage in the main shrinkage direction, and is able to be beautifully and efficiently fitted to a container or the like without changing the temperature conditions for heat shrinkage when the heat shrinkable polyester film is fitted, as a label, to the container or the like by means of heat shrinkage even after high-temperature summer storage in an out door warehouse which has no temperature control system. Specifically disclosed is a heat shrinkable polyester film which is formed from a polyester resin that is mainly composed of ethylene terephthalate and contains 3-12% by mole (inclusive) of one or more monomer components, which can be amorphous components, relative to all the polyester resin components. The heat shrinkable polyester film is characterized in that the shrinkage in 80° C. glycerin, the shrinkage in 130° C. glycerin and the tensile breaking strength in the longitudinal direction are controlled within specific ranges.

    摘要: A heat sealing wheel assembly of a shrink wrap machine reduces thermoplastic film waste during the side cutting and sealing process. The relative diameters of the heat wheel and heating hub of the heat sealing wheel assembly are configured to create an annular region towards the outer circumference of the heat wheel. This creates a space to permit closer engagement of the gripping mechanism for grasping and guiding the edge of thermoplastic film next to the point of contact of the opposing heat wheel edges, and avoids the obstruction normally caused by the heating hub. The closer gripping engagement reduces the amount of film that must extend out from the point of sealing contact of the heat wheels, resulting in less waste during the side sealing process.

The method includes associating glazing material with a hollow carrier composed of a shrinkable and removable material, assembling the construct and carrier with the construct positioned within the carrier, shrinking the carrier onto the construct, removing the carrier, and maturing the material to a glaze. The device and method find particular application in applying coloration, either uniformly or in a pattern, to a dental construct.

    摘要: A method is provided for sealing the end of a sleeved roll comprising a roll-shaped body and a tubular sleeve-shaped lamina formed of a thermoplastic synthetic resinous release material coaxially disposed about the body, the lamina having a heat-shrinkable end extending substantially beyond the body. A synthetic elastomeric sealant is applied between the lamina end and the body end, and the lamina end is then heat-shrunk to compress the lamina end about the sealant and the body end and to bondingly engage the sealant to the lamina end and the body end, thereby sealing the body end. Preferably the body has a bevel on its outer edge and the sealant is applied over both the body end and the bevel prior to heat shrinking.
