    Abstract: AN OSCILLATOR APPLIES TIMING SIGNALS TO AN INVERTER LOGIC ARRANGEMENT FOR GOVERNING THE FREQUENCY OF THE INVERTER OUTPUT A-C VOLTAGE SUPPLIED TO A MOTOR. THE AMPLITUDE OF THE A-C VOLTAGE APPLIED TO THE MOTOR IS ADJUSTED BY SUITABLE CONTROL MEANS WHICH RECEIVES A REGULATING SIGNAL FROM A COMPARATOR. A FIRST SIGNAL CHANNEL INCLUDES A FEEDBACK NETWORK, AND APPLIES TO THE COMPARATOR A FIRST CONTROL SIGNAL WHICH INDICATES THE EFFECTIVE AMPLITUDE OF THE INVERTER VOLTAGE. A SECOND SIGNAL CHANNEL IS CONNECTED BETWEEN THE OSCILLATOR AND THE COMPARATOR TO PROVIDE A SECOND CONTROL SIGNAL RELATED TO THE FREQUENCY OF THE OSCILLATOR OUTPUT. THE COMPARATOR OUTPUT SIGNAL IS A FUNCTION OF BOTH AMPLITUDE AND FREQUENCY, AND DRIVES THE CONTROL MEANS TO MAIN A PRESET RATIO BETWEEN AMPLITUDE AND FREQUENCY OF THE A-C VOLTAGE PASSED TO THE MOTOR.

    Abstract: A motor drive device 1 is provided with: a converter unit 11 which converts input alternating-current power into direct-current power and outputs the same to a DC link; a DC link capacitor 4; voltage dividing resistors 13-1, 13-2 which are connected in series with one another and which are provided between a positive potential line and a negative potential line of the DC link; a measurement resistor 14 connected between the connecting point of the voltage dividing resistors 13-1 and 13-2 and the positive potential line or the negative potential line of the DC link; a resistance voltage measuring unit 15 for measuring the resistance voltage across the measurement resistor 14; a direct current component extracting unit 16 for extracting the direct current component of the resistance voltage; an alternating current component extracting unit 17 for extracting the alternating current component of the resistance voltage; a DC link potential measuring unit 18 for measuring the positive potential and the negative potential of the DC link; and an insulation resistance value calculating unit 19 for calculating the insulation resistance value of a motor 3 on the basis of the direct current component and the alternating current component of the resistance voltage, and the positive potential and the negative potential of the DC link.

    Abstract: A motor driving device includes, a PWM converter that performs power conversion between AC power and DC power in a DC link, an inverter that converts the DC power in the DC link to AC power for a motor and that converts the AC power from the motor to DC power for returning to the DC link, a power storage unit that stores the DC power, a switch that connects or disconnects between an AC power supply and the PWM converter in response to a command, and a command unit that continues outputting a connection command to the switch while a DC voltage in the DC link is boosted up to a prescribed voltage by the DC power, and that initiates outputting a disconnection command to the switch after the DC voltage in the DC link reaches the prescribed voltage and before the inverter initiates powering operation.
