摘要: Disclosed herein are a piezoelectric element, a method of manufacturing the piezoelectric element, a touchpad including the piezoelectric element, and a method of operating the touchpad, wherein the piezoelectric element has a shape of an N-hedron and includes N polygonal unit piezoelectric films forming N faces of the N-hedron, and the touchpad includes: a first piezoelectric element having a shape of an N-hedron; a pad body having a first installation groove detachably supporting the first piezoelectric element; and a signal processer receiving and processing a first signal generated by the first piezoelectric element in response to a first external force, wherein N unit signals are generated by N unit piezoelectric films forming N faces of the first piezoelectric element in response to one external force.

摘要: Disclosed are pressure sensors including a die and an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mounted on a top surface of a substrate. The pressure sensor can define an inner volume and a bottom opening configured to abut the substrate. The die and ASIC are mounted on the top surface of the substrate within the inner volume. The substrate defines a first aperture therethrough and the die defines a second aperture therethrough in a direction along an axis perpendicular to the substrate, the first aperture and the second aperture being aligned. Metallic barrier(s) disposed on a bottom surface of the substrate, circumferentially about the first aperture, can be at least partially coated with solder mask to reduce or prevent flow of unwanted materials past the metallic barriers and through the first aperture. The substrate can include electrical connection pads on the bottom surface configured to be in communication with a daughter board.

摘要: A piezoelectric transducer includes beam portions each with a fixed end portion and extending in a direction away from the fixed end portion. A base portion is connected to the fixed end portion of each of the beam portions. The beam portions extends in a same plane, and respective extending directions of at least two beam portions are different from each other. The beam portions each include a single crystal piezoelectric layer having a polarization axis in a same direction, an upper electrode layer, and a lower electrode layer. A polarization axis has a polarization component in the plane. An axial direction of an orthogonal axis that is orthogonal to the polarization axis and extends in the above-described plane intersects with an extending direction of each of the plurality of beam portions.
