摘要: A polymer composition for coating expanded polystyrene (EPS) is provided, the polymer composition includes a mixture of at least one of polyurea, polyurethane, silicon elastomer, and combination thereof in a predefined ratio. The polymer composition imparts desired properties such as high impact and abrasion resistance, elongation strength, and anti-static property along with flexural strength to the EPS. The present invention also provides the process for coating the polymer composition onto the EPS. The matrix coating process provides much stronger bonding due to overlap of coating of the polymer composition on the sides of the EPS and reduces the wastage of the polymer composition during the coating of the EPS. The present invention also provides the EPS coated with the polymer composition. The EPS coated with the polymer composition possesses the properties such as high impact resistance, abrasion resistance, elongation strength, flexural strength, and anti-static property.

摘要: A coated polymer film, such as a coated polyester film, is disclosed. In one embodiment, the coated film may be used as a substrate for digital printing. In one embodiment, the coating contains an anionic anti-static agent comprising a sulphonated copolyester resin. In an alternative embodiment, the coating contains an anti-static agent comprising an organometallic, such as an organo zirconate, in combination with metal oxide particles. The metal oxide particles may comprise nanoparticles. In one embodiment, the coating can further contain a print enhancing agent and an adhesion promoter.

摘要: The present invention provides a composite material and a sensing platform unit comprising a self-healing polymer matrix and at least two conductive nanomaterials embedded therein. The polymer matrix has a multi-layer structure comprising a first layer comprising a network of a first nanomaterial, which resistance changes in response to a mechanical damage inflicted on the polymer matrix; and a second layer comprising a network of a second nanomaterial, configured to generate heat under applied voltage. The network of the first nanomaterial and the network of the second nanomaterial are electrically connected to a mutual control circuit which is configured to apply voltage to the second nanomaterial upon a change in resistance of the first nanomaterial. The sensing platform unit further comprises a third layer comprising a network of a third nanomaterial configured to detect at least one of pressure, strain, temperature, pH, humidity, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

摘要: The present invention relates to a non-conductive polymer material for applying a non-conductive coat to a surface, The non-conductive polymer material comprises a first polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl acetate and polyethylene oxide; a second polymer being polyvinylidene fluoride; and a solvent selected from the group consisting of dimethyl sulfoxide, tetrahydrofuran, toluene and dimethylformamide. The present invention also relates to a method of eliminating electrostatic charge on a surface by applying the non-conductive polymer material of the present invention to at least one surface of an object to form a non-conductive coat on the surface.
