摘要: Method implementing an accelerometer (17) for analyzing biomechanical parameters of the stride of a runner, comprising:
(a) fastening a device (1) on the torso of the runner, said device being electrically self-sufficient and comprising a triaxial accelerometer (17), a chronograph (16), a digital processor (19) and a display (11);
(b) measuring a sequence of acceleration data in at least the vertical direction (av) using said accelerometer, while the runner runs a certain distance (D) along a running course;
(c) during or at the end of said running course, having said processor calculate the biomechanical parameters of the stride, including the lowering (A) of the center of gravity and/or the elevation (E) of the center of gravity and/or the sum of the lowering and of the elevation of the center of gravity and/or the vertical mechanical work of the center of gravity (CG) of said runner, on the basis of said acceleration data, of said distance (D) and of a period of time (T) measured by said chronograph (16); and
(d) displaying said parameters on said display (11).-

摘要: A system, method and computer program product for determining regional sensor data. Sensor readings are obtained from a corresponding plurality of sensors. The sensors are grouped into a plurality of sensor regions. Each sensor region includes at least one region-associated sensor from the plurality of sensors. A plurality of regional sensor values are determined for the plurality of sensor regions by, for each sensor region: identifying a region-specific model, the region-specific model specifying how the at least one regional sensor value for that sensor region is to be calculated; and generating the at least one regional sensor value for that sensor region by applying the region-specific model to the sensor readings obtained from the at least one region-associated sensor corresponding to that sensor region. The regional sensor values can account for sensor and conductivity failures and allow the measurement resolution of the sensing unit to be adjusted.

In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor configured to sense changes in a capacitance signal in response to proximity of a body. A dielectric member can be provided between the capacitive sensor and the body to enhance an output signal from the sensor.

摘要: A system, method and computer program product for quantitatively assessing an injury recovery state for a user. Sensor data can be obtained from a plurality of sensors positioned to contact the user while the user performs a set of specified activities. The sensors can be mounted to a user using one or more wearable devices. Metric values can be calculated from the sensor data obtained while the user performs the specified activities. The metric values can be compared to baseline values for the user. A quantified injury recovery state value can be calculated based on the comparison of the metric values with the respective baseline values. The quantified injury recovery state value can provide a quantitative assessment of a user's injury recovery or injury risk that can be used to provide activity recommendations and/or return-to-play (RTP) decisions in athletics.
