A magnetic actuator unit is provided for a circuit breaker, such as a medium voltage vacuum circuit breaker. The magnetic actuator unit includes a core, a coil, an actuating shaft, a first movable plate, a second movable plate, and a non-magnetic flat insert arranged between the core and the second movable plate. The magnetic actuator unit configured to switch the circuit breaker ON and OFF by moving the first movable plate between an ON position and an OFF position. The non-magnetic flat insert and the second movable plate are configured to adjust a holding force of the magnetic actuator unit provided by the second movable plate at the OFF position. The holding force is sufficient for holding the second movable plate at the OFF position against outer forces that are acting on the magnetic actuator unit.

A method, apparatus and computer program for monitoring the condition of electromechanical systems in which electrical rotating machinery is used. The method includes measuring current and/or voltage signals, measuring an angular position of a rotating shaft of interest of the electromechanical systems or estimating the value of discrete angular position of a rotating shaft, synchronizing the current and/or voltage signals to the scaled angular displacement of the rotating shaft, dividing the synchronous electrical signals into intervals corresponding to each completed rotation of the rotating shaft, averaging a number of intervals of synchronous electrical signals to obtain an average synchronous electrical signal, extracting characteristic data of the magnitude from the values of the average synchronous electrical signal, and comparing the extracted characteristic data with a threshold limit to alarm the user when the limit is exceeded.
Abstract:
An air dehydrating breather assembly and method provide dehumidifying air suitable to be supplied into oil expansion vessels used in electrical devices. The air dehydrating breather assembly includes first and second air demoisturizer units respectively associated with two corresponding oil expansion vessels. The first air demoisturizer unit includes a first tank housing moisture absorber and a second tank housing moisture absorber alternatively providing dehumidified air. The second air demoisturizer unit includes a third tank housing moisture absorber providing dehumidified air. Sensors are associated with the first, second and third tanks to detect the level of saturation of their moisture absorbers. An electronic processing unit is operatively associated with the sensors for routing dehumidified air to the associated oil-expansion vessels from the tanks whose moisture absorbers are not saturated.

A method and arrangement are disclosed for electrically connecting a contact of a first substrate to a contact of a second substrate, whereby the first substrate is positioned relative the second substrate. The method includes providing the first substrate with its contact facing towards the second substrate, providing the second substrate with its contact facing away from the first substrate, bonding a bonding medium to the contact of the first substrate, bonding the bonding medium to the first substrate thereby forming a loop, electrically connecting the contact of the second substrate to the bonding medium, and providing the second substrate with the contact on a nose or tongue extending from an edge of the second substrate. The first substrate can be positioned below the second substrate, with a contact of the first substrate connected to a contact of the second substrate.

A cooling system can include at least one wall-like diaphragm in-between the neighbored coils, which is in parallel to the orientation of the limbs.

A DC circuit breaker arrangement for interrupting a direct current on a line, includes: n DC circuit breakers connected in parallel, where n>2, which parallel connection of DC circuit breakers is connected in series with the line, the direct current of the line being divided between the n DC circuit breakers, and n reactors, each reactor being connected to one of the DC circuit breakers, for preserving the current division during current interruption. A method for interrupting or commutating a direct current on a transmission line or in a HVDC circuit is also provided.

Exemplary embodiments relate to a method for adapting graphic representation on a user interface of a computer user station for the graphic representation of data of an industrial processing plant. Input signals received on or at the computer user station result in a size change of the graphic representation by zooming of the predefinable display region on the user interface or the selection of an object field of the graphic representation. The object field being located in the graphic representation at an associated object field position, for display or user interaction. With the selection of an object field for display or user interaction, fixing the object field on the user interface in a size sufficient for display or user interaction occurs, even if a size change of the graphic representation into a range unsuitable for the display or for the user interaction occurs due to zooming.
