A suspension includes a load beam and a flexure. The flexure has a metal base and a conductive circuit portion. The conductive circuit portion has an insulating layer formed on the metal base, and a conductor formed on the insulating layer. The conductive circuit portion includes a first region which constitutes a part of the conductive circuit portion in the longitudinal direction, and a second region which constitutes another part of the same in the longitudinal direction. The conductor includes a thin conductor portion having a first thickness arranged in the first region, and a thick conductor portion having a second thickness arranged in the second region. The second thickness is greater than the first thickness.
Abstract:
An inexpensive ring spring having high strength and a method for producing the same, are provided. The ring spring can be obtained, for example, by raw material preparation, bending formation, welding, and disk formation performed in this order. The ring spring is formed to have no edge by welding two edge parts of the raw material, and has a welded metal part that is formed at the interface of the two edge parts of the raw material, and a welded heat-affected zone that is formed around the welded metal part and heated by welding, and exhibits tensile strength of 1000 MPa or more. Since the ring spring has sufficient tensile strength as a disk spring and a wave spring, quenching and tempering are not necessary. Furthermore, since the product can be prevented from being deformed due to quenching and tempering, dimensional accuracy of the product can be improved.

An end turn portion of a coil spring includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The first portion is always in contact with a spring seat irrespective of the magnitude of a load applied to the coil spring. The second portion contacts the spring seat when the load applied to the coil spring is large, and is separated from the spring seat when the load is small. The third portion is always separated from the spring seat irrespective of the magnitude of the load. An insulating sheet made of a material having rubber elasticity is attached to a lower surface of a wire at the end turn portion by means of adhesive bonding. The insulating sheet is provided on a lower surface of a region including at least the second portion.

The actuator unit is rotatably supported by the rotation support mechanism about an axis. The first inner load cell is arranged on the first seat adapter coaxially with the rotation support mechanism, and detects an axial force acting on the lower spring seat and a moment. A wire of the coil spring includes a large-diameter wire portion, a small-diameter wire portion, and a wire diameter varying portion. The large-diameter wire portion is provided in a first portion of the coil spring, which is on the side near to a pivot. The small-diameter wire portion is provided in a second portion of the coil spring, which is on the side far from the pivot. A wire diameter of the large-diameter wire portion is greater than a wire diameter of the small-diameter wire portion.
