Abstract:
In a method for producing an individual cell for a battery with an electrode stack arranged inside a cell housing formed by two electrically conductive housing side walls and an interposed, peripheral, electrically insulating frame, current drain tabs of each polarity are connected respectively to a corresponding pole contact of the electrode stack and an electrically conductive connection is produced between the pole contacts and the housing side walls. According to the invention, the electrically conductive connection is generated in an open state of the individual cell.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for cooling a fuel cell system. The system includes a fuel cell (1) having a cooling device (15) which forms part of a cooling circuit including a liquid coolant. The cooling circuit, outside the fuel cell (1), contains a device by which any gases which may penetrate into the liquid coolant from the fuel cell (1) are separated out and fed to the mass flow of the oxygen-containing gas which is fed into the fuel cell.
Abstract:
A device for producing an abrupt or sudden feed motion contains in a casing a feed device, which can be triggered by a trigger. The force necessary for advancing the feed device is applied by a spring, which is tensioned with the aid of a drive. The tool requires no cartridges for propellant charges.
Abstract:
A battery having a cooling apparatus for temperature control of the battery is provided. The battery has a plurality of individual cells connected in parallel and/or in series with one another using cell connectors. The individual cells are attached to the cooling apparatus such that they can be prestressed by means of the cell connectors.
Abstract:
A single cell for a battery that includes a first housing part and a second housing part, which are electrically isolated from one another by an insulating housing frame. An electrochemically-active material is located in housing frame between housing parts. The first housing part and second housing part are in the form of plates. At least one of the housing parts exhibits a first edge area bent over towards the inside, and first housing part and second housing part are fixed by a form fit to one-piece housing frame.
Abstract:
A device for sucking in and compressing at least one gas in a fuel cell system has a compressor for the gas connected, at its gas inlet, to a gas filter system via an elastic, sealed gas-routing passage made from textile material.
Abstract:
A method and an arrangement are provided for purifying gases which are fed to a fuel cell for operation. A filter system, which is designed to separate out particulates and polluting gases, is arranged in a feed passage for the respective gas.
Abstract:
In a method and apparatus for monitoring a parameter, such as a concentration level, of an easily ignited gas, such as hydrogen, includes a wake-up device that is connected to a current/voltage supply, and can switch the monitoring unit from a state of rest into an active state after an adjustable time interval. The device according to the invention can be used in a fuel cell system or in a vehicle. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for monitoring the concentration of an easily ignited gas.
