    Abstract: A driver assistance system of a vehicle includes at least one vehicle environmental sensor having a field of sensing exterior of the vehicle. A sensor data processor is operable to process sensor data captured by the sensor. When the vehicle is operated, the sensor data processor receives captured sensor data that is representative of the vehicle surrounding scene. The sensor data processor fuses the sensor data with map data to generate an annotated master map of the scene captured by the sensor. A display device is operable to display information for viewing by a driver of the vehicle. The displayed information is derived at least in part from the annotated master map and is displayed for viewing by the driver of the vehicle who is executing a maneuver of the vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicular multi-sensor sensing system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at an equipped vehicle and sensing forward of the vehicle. Data based at least in part on processing of sensor data captured by at least one of the sensors is wirelessly transmitted from the equipped vehicle to a remote server. The wirelessly transmitted data is conjuncted to a current geographic location of the equipped vehicle along a road being travelled by the equipped vehicle. The remote server merges data wirelessly transmitted from the equipped vehicle to the remote server with data wirelessly transmitted from a plurality of other vehicles traveling along the road along which the equipped vehicle is traveling, and processes the merged data to determine at least one characteristic along the road being travelled by the equipped vehicle.

    Abstract: A method for generating surround view images derived from image data captured by cameras of a vehicular surround view vision system includes equipping a vehicle with a plurality of cameras disposed at the vehicle. Image data is captured by the cameras and provided to a control of the vehicle. The provided captured image data is processed to generate a first three-dimensional representation in accordance with a first curved surface model as if seen by a virtual observer from a first virtual viewing point exterior of the vehicle having a first viewing direction. The first representation is output to a display screen of the vehicle for display to the driver of the vehicle. Responsive to actuation of a user input, the processing is adjusted to generate a second three-dimensional representation in accordance with a second curved surface model, and the second representation is output to the display screen.

    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and capturing image data as the equipped vehicle is driven along a traffic lane of a road. Captured image data is processed to detect a rearward-approaching vehicle and determine a path of travel of the detected rearward-approaching vehicle. Responsive to determining that the path of travel of the detected rearward-approaching vehicle is along a side traffic lane adjacent to the traffic lane along which the equipped vehicle is driven, the vehicular vision system (i) displays at a video display screen video images derived at least from image data captured by the side camera that is at the side portion of the equipped vehicle that is adjacent to the side traffic lane and (ii) overlays a transparent graphic overlay overlaying the displayed video images that is based on the determined path of travel of the detected rearward-approaching vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes a camera having a field of view that includes at least a driver's head region within a cabin of a vehicle. The camera includes an imager having a two-dimensional array of photosensing elements. The camera includes a lens array of lens elements disposed at the array of photosensing elements of the imager. The lens elements are disposed over respective sub-arrays of photosensing elements for imaging light onto the respective sub-arrays of photosensing elements. With an illumination source operated to emit near infrared light to illuminate at least the driver's head region, and responsive at least in part to image processing by an image processor of image data captured by the sub-arrays of photosensing elements associated with the respective lens elements of the lens array, the system determines the head of a driver of the vehicle and the driver's facing direction.

    Abstract: A method for stitching images captured by multiple vehicular cameras includes disposing a plurality of cameras at the vehicle so as to have respective fields of view exterior the vehicle. Image data captured by first and second cameras of the plurality of cameras is processed to detect an object present in an overlapping portion of the fields of view of the first and second cameras. Image data captured by the first and second cameras is stitched, via processing provided captured image data, to form stitched images. Stitching of captured image data is adjusted responsive to determination of a difference between a characteristic of a feature of a detected object as captured by the first camera and the characteristic of the feature of the detected object as captured by the second camera in order to mitigate misalignment of stitched images.

    Abstract: A vehicular automated parking system includes a camera having a field of view rearward of the vehicle. When the vehicle is parked in a parking space, with a forward vehicle parked in front of the vehicle and a rearward vehicle parked behind the vehicle, the vehicular automated parking system determines a forward limit of the parking space responsive to a driver of the vehicle driving the vehicle forward until a front end of the vehicle is close to the forward vehicle. Responsive to the determined forward limit of the parking space, and responsive to processing by an image processor of image data captured by the camera, the vehicular automated parking system controls the vehicle when the vehicle is leaving the parking space in a manner that avoids the forward vehicle parked in front of the vehicle and the rearward vehicle parked behind the vehicle.
