Abstract: Devices and methods for assisting and guiding a person with visual and/or hearing impairment. In various embodiments there is a computer-guided, motorized walking stick. Preferably, at least one wheel at the distal end of the stick, and in contact with the ground, can be steered or pivoted over a range of angles, and thus establish a desired direction. In yet other embodiments there are one or more powered wheels that further drive the walking stick in the desired direction. Various algorithms are disclosed for providing instructions to the computer controller by way of various input devices. Still further embodiments include various types of sensors that provide data to the computer with regards to objects proximate to the walking stick.

Abstract: This present invention relates to an electric spine back pain relieving device. The device has a fixed frame that is configured to be integrated or retrofitted to backrest of a chair for providing support to spine of a user. The device has a frame and has an integrated electric source for providing mechanical pressure on facet joints or vertebras of spine of a human. The rigid frame carries a plurality of parallel rods attached to and crossing the space between the two longer arms of the frame. Each of the rod in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions carry a pair of barrel-shaped or spherical spindle nodules that are positioned below the transverse processes of the spine for alleviating pain. The electric source can be selectively activated using a push button and the device works on one of the two modes: single action mode and block action mode.

Abstract: Disclosed is a wearable device including a link unit which has a shape corresponding to the lower extremities of the wearer and rotates in a front-rear direction, and a power supply unit. The link unit includes a right link unit fixed to the right lower extremity of the wearer and has a lower end that comes into contact with the ground, and a left link unit which is fixed to the left lower extremity of the wearer and has a lower end that comes into contact with the ground. A steering mode is provided to steer the link unit, and during the steering mode, i) the power supply unit supplies power to space the right link unit and the left link unit apart from each other, and then ii) the power supply unit supplies power in a direction to cause a unit to be rotated rearward.

Abstract: A lift transfer device for disabled people includes a wheeled chassis having a column with a bottom end attached to the chassis and a top end including an arm rest. A winch is provided that is supported by the chassis and/or the column. The winch includes a tow rope having a distal end and a hook disposed at the distal end of the tow rope. The tow rope runs through one or more guide rings disposed on the column and the arm rest. A harness is provided that is worn by a user of the lift transfer device. The hook on the tow rope may be connected to a pulling loop on the harness, the winch facilitates a lifting of the user as the tow rope is retracted by the winch and a lowering of the user as the tow rope is paidout by the winch.

Abstract: A stool is provided that provides a raised heel squat position to a user that engages the stool. The raised heel squatting position promotes a healthy and productive experience on a toilet. The stool may be collapsible for easier storage and transportation. The stool may be adjustable to provide custom fittings to different size users. Additionally, the stool may be intelligent and may provide a customized immersive experience to a person on a toilet.

Abstract: An exoskeleton comprises at least one load-bearing element including a flexible hose, sleeve or cable having a first end portion and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. The first end portion is engageable with a load and is configured to transfer a weight of the load to the hose, sleeve or cable. The hose, sleeve or cable is configured to transfer the weight of the load from the first end portion to the second end portion, and the second end portion is configured to transfer the weight of the load to a support surface upon which the exoskeleton is supported.
