    摘要： The present invention relates to a spring-loaded medical injection device for automatically ejecting set doses of a drug having an injection button (10). The injection device comprises a housing having a dose setting member (20) for straining an injection spring when setting the size of the dose to be injected and a release element (30) for releasing the strained injection spring to eject the set dose. The injection button (10) is movable in a distal direction against the bias of a return spring (1) and movable in a proximal direction by the force of the return spring (1). Further, the injection button (10) moves with it the release element from a first position to a second position. The release element (30) is further coupled to the injection button (10) by a plurality of fingers (31, 15) which disengages the injection button (10) from the release element (30) in the first position and engages the injection button (10) with the release element (30) in the second position, such that the injection button (10) can move a distance axially independently of the release element (30) in the first position and the injection button (10) and the release element (30) move axially together in the second position.

    摘要： An improved drug delivery system comprising a gun style injection device used for holding and administering a disposable pre-filled drug cartridge, a holster device used for receiving an end of the gun style injection device and thereafter severing cannula from cartridge and disposing of spent cannulas and cartridges, and an improvement to the drug cartridge is disclosed. The gun style injection device conprises a barrel, a handle, a hinged and spring loaded squeeze lever, and a safety trigger. The holster device comprises a leg protection panel to which a housing is coupled for disposing of spent cartridges. The holster housing is adapted for receiving the barrel of the gun style injection device. The holster housing provides a means for severing the cannula from a used cartridge and disposing of both the cannula and cartridge in separate containers. The cartridge design itself is improved in order to increase the performance of the gun style injection device and the holster cannula severing mechanism.

A spring washer component may also be provided, wherein the spring washer component may be retained by the retaining ring so as to bias the cartridge in a distal direction to prevent any movement of the cartridge during injection.

The cassette unit comprises a cassette unit housing defining a cassette unit housing cavity, which is in receipt of a syringe, a rearward entrance to said cavity and a forward needle projection aperture. The cassette unit also comprises in capping relationship with the rearward entrance of the cassette unit housing, a cassette unit end-cap, said cassette unit end-cap defining a drive rod-receiving opening for receipt of a drive rod for providing forward axial drive to said plunger; a biasing element defining a biasing relationship between the cassette unit end-cap and an end flange of the syringe barrel, thereby urging the syringe forwards in relation to the cassette unit end-cap; and a damping element defining a damping relationship between the cassette unit end-cap and the flange of the syringe, thereby acting to damp rearward movement of the syringe relative to the cassette unit end-cap.
