Abstract:
A method and apparatus for reproducing multimedia data using a MusicPhotoVideo (MPV) profile. The method for reproducing multimedia data using a profile complying with the MPV standard, includes: detecting a reference element indicating that a predetermined profile among a plurality of supported profiles is used, in an MPV document; updating the MPV document using information on a profile corresponding to the detected reference element; and reproducing multimedia data by parsing the updated MPV document. Accordingly, by using the MPV standard profile, multimedia data can be reproduced more efficiently.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for enabling Power Line Control (PLC) devices to work like Universal Plug And Play (UPnP) devices by allowing the PLC devices to participate in a UPnP network. A bridging apparatus for enabling the UPnP device to control the PLC device includes a unit for generating a device description XML document for each device type using information on the PLC devices and transmitting the same document to a UPnP control point; a unit for, upon receipt of a control command from the control point, converting the control command into a control command conforming to a PLC protocol and transmitting the converted control command to a PLC device, and for, upon receipt of an information packet conforming to the PLC protocol from the PLC device, converting the packet to an event message conforming to a UPnP protocol and transmitting the event message to the control point.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a carrier for manufacturing a substrate, including: a base plate; adhesive layers formed on one side or both sides of the base plate; auxiliary adhesive layers, each of which is buried in one side of each of the adhesive layers, has a smaller area than each of the adhesive layers and has lower adhesivity than each of the adhesive layers; and metal layers, each of which is formed on one side of each of the auxiliary adhesive layers, whose edges are attached to the adhesive layers, and whose other portions excluding the edges are attached to the auxiliary adhesive layers. The carrier is advantageous in that a metal layer and an auxiliary adhesive layer are attached to each other by the adhesivity of the auxiliary adhesive layer, so that it is not required to use vacuum adsorption, with the result that a process of manufacturing a substrate can be performed more stably.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a carrier for manufacturing a printed circuit board, which includes a first carrier including a first binder having a first opening and a first metal layer formed in the first opening of the first binder, and a second carrier, stacked with the first carrier and including a second binder having a second opening and a second metal layer which is formed in the second opening of the second binder and which partially overlaps with the first metal layer, so that the carrier is simply configured and the binders are formed not only on the lateral surfaces of the metal layers but also on the upper surfaces thereof, thus improving the reliability of bonding of the carrier at the periphery. A method of manufacturing the carrier and a method of manufacturing a printed circuit board using the carrier are also provided.

Abstract:
A printed circuit board having embedded capacitors includes a double-sided copper-clad laminate including first circuit layers formed in the outer layers thereof, the first circuit layers including bottom electrodes and circuit patterns; dielectric layers formed by depositing alumina films on the first circuit layers by atomic layer deposition; second circuit layers formed on the dielectric layers and including top electrodes and circuit patterns; one-sided copper-clad laminates formed on the second circuit layers; blind via-holes and through-holes formed in predetermined portions of the one-sided copper-clad laminates; and plating layers formed in the blind via-holes and the through-holes. The manufacturing method of the printed circuit board is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of producing a printed circuit board (PCB) with an embedded resistor, in which a resistor with a desired shape and volume is precisely formed using a resistor paste so that resistance values according to a position of the PCB are uniform, thereby a laser trimming process is omitted or minimally utilized. The method has advantages in that a production time of the PCB is shortened and productivity is improved because an operation condition is rapidly set without being greatly affected by the position precision of a printing device. Other advantages of the method are that the resistor paste with a relatively uniform thickness is secured through a screen printing process, thereby easily forming the resistor and improving resistance tolerance.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for creating a MultiPhoto Video or MusicPhoto Video (MPV) file that enables minimization of resources and/or storage capacity required to use the MPV file in a multimedia application environment, and a storage medium having recorded thereon a computer readable program for performing the method. The method includes: generating profilebag elements based on multimedia content; generating unique identification information of assets included in the multimedia content; generating a last uniform resource locator (LastURL) based on universal resource identifiers (URIs) of the assets included in the multimedia content; and creating an MPV file corresponding to the multimedia content using the profilebag elements, the unique identification information of the assets, and the LastURL. Accordingly, the MPV file, which is available to multimedia reproducing devices having limited resources and/or storage capacity, can be provided.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for setting the time of a real-time clock included in a digital broadcast receiver. Since the digital broadcast receiver sets the time of the real-time clock included therein, based on time information contained in a received transport stream, it is possible to synchronize the time of the real-time clock with a reference time based on the time information contained in broadcast data transmitted by a broadcast transmitter. Accordingly, it is possible to minimize time-related errors during the execution of a time-dependent application program such as a scheduled-recording program.
Abstract:
A file management method and apparatus for controlling assets in multimedia appliances and an information recording medium thereof are provided. The file management method for controlling assets in multimedia appliances includes: generating and managing an index file containing information on assets obtained by the multimedia appliances and based on MusicPhotoVideo (MPV). The method and apparatus enable users to conveniently and easily manage assets obtained in multimedia appliances such as a digital still camera.
