摘要: The present invention provides a process for making a complex metal oxide comprising the formula AxByOz. The process comprises the steps of: (a) reacting in solution at a temperature of between about 75° C. to about 100° C. at least one water-soluble salt of A, at least one water-soluble salt of B and a stoichiometric amount of a carbonate salt or a bicarbonate salt required to form a mole of a carbonate precipitate represented by the formula AxBy(CO3)n, wherein the reacting is conducted in a substantial absence of carbon dioxide to form the carbonate precipitate and wherein the molar amount of carbonate salt or bicarbonate salt is at least three times the stoichiometric amount of carbonate or bicarbonate salt required to form a mole of the carbonate precipitate; and (b) reacting the carbonate precipitate with an oxygen containing fluid under conditions to form the complex metal oxide.

摘要: A server device, and related systems and methods for managing dialysis patient information. The patient information includes information relating to stages of data collection including baseline characteristics, eligibility for treatment modalities, and outcomes. A remote terminal is configured for displaying in the remote terminal a first user interface for receiving the patient information for the subject patient. The server is configured to receive from the remote terminal the patient information for the subject patient and store said patient information in a patient record in the memory, and determine, based on medical logic rules, whether the patient information is consistent with the patient record in order to proceed to a next stage of data collection, and if so permitting displaying in the remote terminal a second user interface for receiving patient information relating to the next stage of data collection.

摘要: A crimping system comprises a frame having a plurality of plates with a clamp adjacent to the lower end. Applicator mechanisms are adapted to feed crimpable components coupled together by and releasably coupled to a carrier. A crimping mechanism has an anvil with at least one tooth and a nest with at least one recess associated with the anvil. A feeding mechanism coupled to the frame adapted to feed crimpable components between the anvil and the nest. An actuator arm coupled to the frame is adapted to move the anvil and nest toward each other.

摘要: A process is disclosed for reversibly absorbing acid gases from gaseous mixtures wherein a salt hydrate is heated to a temperature above its melting point and exposed to an acid gas which is absorbed by the salt hydrate to form a salt hydrate melt. This melt is thereafter cooled to a temperature sufficient to solidify the melt and to desorb the acid gas from the solidified salt hydrate. Preferred salt hydrates include tetramethylammonium fluoride tetrahydrate and tetraethylammonium acetate tetrahydrate.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for welding vinyl window and door frames. The apparatus includes a counting circuit or the like for measuring the time taken for burning off a selected length of a thermoplastic frame member. This time can be used to calculate a sufficient or optimal period for performing a heating or plastification step. Once the ends of the frame members are properly heated (plastified), they are fused by urging them towards each other. The fused members are then cooled for a period of time which also corresponds to the time required for burn-off. The apparatus further includes a heating plate which is pivotable between an operating position and a retracted position. The heating plate is also movable so that different surface portions can be used during burn-off and heating phases.
