Abstract:
A method for controlling vehicle stability comprises the steps of determining the rate of yaw and comparing it to a setpoint rate of yaw. The deviation is used to adjust a counter rate of yaw by means of a controller when the rate of yaw is too large. An optimal profile for a setpoint rate of yaw is determined, even when parameters such as the coefficient of friction of the road surface and the vehicle speed vary.
Abstract:
In a method for braking motor vehicle wheels, to reduce a yawing moment produced by an antilock braking system, the build-up of braking pressure on at least one wheel is influenced. The braking pressure on the wheels of one axle is influenced to such an extent that the differential between the braking pressures of one axle does not exceed a maximum permissible value. This maximum permissible value is made dependent upon the vehicle speed and the transversal acceleration.
Abstract:
A lower limiting value of the yaw speed is calculated as a function of the steering angle, the vehicle speed, and the coefficient of friction between tires and road. If the yaw speed falls below the lower limiting value, the brake pressure is reduced in order to increase lateral stability.

Abstract:
An arrangement for generating a voltage waveform having a triangular shape, in which a first voltage waveform having a sawtooth shape is added to a second voltage that has a sawtooth shape with horizontal components during predetermined intervals of the second voltage waveform. A biased diode bridge applies the horizontal components to the second voltage waveform, which has peaks equal to the peaks of the first voltage waveform. Upon adding the first and second voltage waveforms, a voltage waveform with triangular shape is generated.
Abstract:
An arrangement for automatic switching of the regulating speed of a phase regulating circuit, in which the regulating speed is not switched abruptly. The regulating speed is, instead, switched either discontinuously or continuously, so that it does not attain a high level before the midpoint of the synchronizing pulse. The regulating speed is increased within a synchronizing window to an increasing extent up to the midpoint of the window, whereas the regulating speed decreases to a decreasing extent from that midpoint. The regulating speed of the phase regulating circuit is associated with the horizontal deflection in a television receiver, where interference in the vicinity of the synchronizing pulse has a detrimental effect, particularly near the edges.
Abstract:
A method for treating a bond area of a workpiece, and a method for adhesively bonding workpieces are disclosed. The method for treating a bond area of a workpiece includes cleaning the bond area, activating the bond area, coating at least a portion of the bond area with an adhesion promoter, and chemically transforming the adhesion promoter with an aftertreatment. The method for adhesively bonding workpieces includes cleaning a bond area of a first workpiece, activating the bond area, coating at least a portion of the bond area with an adhesion promoter, chemically transforming the adhesion promoter with an aftertreatment, applying an adhesive to the bond area, bringing the other workpiece into contact with the first workpiece, and curing the adhesive.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for influencing living cells through cell-surface interaction where, for the cell-surface interaction, bioactive material is applied to magnetic carrier material, then this magnetic carrier material is applied to a magnetic carrier substrate, and this carrier substrate is combined with the living cells. The magnetic domain arrangement in the substrate can be altered by means of an external magnetic field in such a way that the structure formed by the magnetic carrier material is likewise changed. An in vitro alteration of the structure of the substrate is thus possible.
Abstract:
A brake-pressure controller regulates the brake pressure on the individual wheels according to the instantaneous slip values in comparison with variable desired slip values. The angle of inclination of one wheel of each axle is determined, and the desired slip values are varied as a function of these angles of inclination with the effect of a better vehicle controllability.
