摘要: A process for producing an extremely low carbon steel in a top- and bottom-blown converter. The process is characterized in top-blowing a mixed gas of oxygen gas and an inert gas onto a molten steel in the top- and bottom-blown converter. The mixed gas is blown through a top-blowing lance at the final decarburization stage, while a gas (selected from a group consisting of an inert gas, oxygen gas and a mixture of oxygen and an inert gas) is bottom-blown into the molten steel in the converter.

摘要: Herein disclosed is a microinstruction controlled data processor in which a microinstruction memory (i.e., an ROM) is driven in each predetermined cycle thereby to generate a plurality of microinstructions in accordance with a page address it receives and in which a general microinstruction contains the page address and the displacement address of the plural preceding microinstructions. One of the plural instructions read out of the ROM is selected upon each read-out operation. The page and displacement addresses in the microinstruction thus selected are set in an address register at the timings for reading out the plural microinstructions. Moreover, a displacement address generator for selecting the plural microinstructions read out of the ROM generates the displacement addresses which are different in dependence upon whether a branch instruction exists in the instructions selected during the same number of cycles as that of the plurality or not and whether the branching operation succeeds or not in case the branch instruction exists.

摘要: Novel acetic acid derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is oxygen or sulfur; R.sub.1 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl; R.sub.2 is hydroxy, an alkoxy, an alkenyloxy, a cycloalkyloxy, an aryloxy, a substituted aryloxy, an aryl-lower alkoxy, a substituted aryl-lower alkoxy, an aryl-lower alkenyloxy, a substituted aryl-lower alkenyloxy, an .omega.-disubstituted amino-lower alkoxy, a lower alkoxycrbonyl-lower alkoxy, a lower alkoxy-lower alkoxy, a hydroxy-lower alkoxy-lower alkoxy, an acyl-lower alkoxy, or a group ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 is hydrogen, hydroxy, a lower alkyl, an aryl-lower alkyl, a hydroxy-lower alkyl, or a carboxy-lower alkyl, R.sub.4 is hydrogen, a lower alkyl or a hydroxy-lower alkyl, or the R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may combine together with the nitrogen atom to which they are joined to form a heterocyclic group; and the group --CH(R.sub.1)COR.sub.2 is joined to the carbon atom at 2- or 3-position, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, processes for their preparation, and pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds. They have excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activities with weak ulcerogenicity in the gastrointestinal tract and toxicity.

摘要: A network system enables controlling an image input device without requiring a driver that depends on the computer environment. A client terminal has a component that acquires a web page having an embedded scanner control script that controls image input from a scanner; a component that sends an image acquisition request through an interface board to the scanner as controlled by the scanner control script; and a component that gets an image from the scanner as a response to the image acquisition request as controlled by the scanner control script. The interface board receives the image acquisition request, and sends the image scanned by the scanner based on the received image acquisition request to the client terminal.

摘要: A method and apparatus for welding members formed of thermoplastic resin material, with high welding strength and small strength variations. A laser welding apparatus 1 brings a first member 2 formed of a transmissive thermoplastic resin that transmits a laser beam into contact with a second member 3 formed of an absorptive thermoplastic resin that absorbs the laser beam, and joins the thermoplastic resin members by melting their contact surfaces 4 with the laser beam. The laser welding apparatus 1 further comprises a laser beam generator 10 for irradiating the contact surfaces with the laser beam shone from the side of the first member 3 so as to melt at least one of the contact surfaces of the first member and the second member. The apparatus also comprises a clamp mechanism 20 for pressing the first member and the second member together, a temperature sensor 31 as an adjusting means for adjusting the pressing force applied to the first member and the second member, and a personal computer 32 for calculating the pressing force based on the output of the temperature sensor. The clamp mechanism is controlled with the calculated pressing force.
