Abstract:
An oral care toothbrush includes a handle having a head at one end of the handle, the head having at least one cleaning element. The head has at least one oral care dispenser. The oral care dispenser is configured to release an oral care material within about five seconds when exposed to water at a temperature of about 35° C. to about 40° C.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for distributing memory within one or more regions of circuitry that perform logic functions (or other types of functions that require dense interconnect structures) on an integrated circuit. The distributed memory reduces high density routing congestion, allows increased logic utilization, and provides areas for additional interconnect structure. Various techniques are also disclosed for accessing the memory.
Abstract:
An SRAM memory includes a pull-up device coupled to each row of word lines in an array of SRAM cells. The pull-up devices are sized such that when a row is selected, the time for the associated word line to fully charge is sufficiently slow such that data stored in the selected SRAM cells are not corrupted during a read operation. By slowly charging the word lines, the corresponding access transistors are also slowly turned on, resulting in the coupled bit lines slowly charging or discharging from the data stored in the SRAM cell. Because there is not a sudden large charge transfer between the stored data and the coupled bit line, the data will not be corrupted during a read operation, and read precharge circuitry is not required.
Abstract:
A connector assembly connects a plurality of battery cells in a serial/parallel arrangement. Each battery cell includes a cover and a canister having a side and a bottom. Each battery cell is constructed such that a segment of the side of the canister forms a top crimped portion that retains the cover and is electrically isolated from the cover. The connector assembly includes a conductive weld cup. The conductive weld cup includes a bordered portion and recessed portion. The bordered portion includes a first side wall and a ledge that is substantially planar. The recessed portion is recessed within the ledge. The recessed portion includes a recessed portion and a floor that is substantially planar. The first side wall includes an integrated tab projecting from it. An inner surface of the bordered portion engages an outer surface of the side and the bottom of the canister of an upper adjacent battery cell. An outer surface of the floor engages a cover of a lower adjacent battery cell. The integrated tab provides for coupling the battery cells of two adjacent battery sticks in parallel.
Abstract:
The invention provides hisS polypeptides and DNA (RNA) encoding hisS polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing hisS polypeptides to screen for antibacterial compounds.
Abstract:
A thin film catalyst structure is described for use in hydrodesulphurization of gaseous hydrocarbon mixtures. The catalyst is formed starting with an aluminum substrate having an oxide surface layer and thin films of metallic cobalt and molybdenum are sequentially deposited on the aluminum oxide layer. The films of metallic cobalt and molybdenum are calcined and then reduced and sulphided to form a sulphided thin film catalyst structure having improved hydrodesulphurization properties.
Abstract:
An arming trigger unit having a retractable member for selectively retaining or releasing an arming wire of a store which retractable member is, after having been released, retained in its release position by a safety member. Further, such safety member engages a ring portion of the arming wire such that ejection of the ring portion is assisted when the arming wire is released. Such safety member is movable out of the position at which it retains the retractable member to permit a subsequent arming wire to be retained by the retractable member. A method of maintaining an actuating member for a store in a selected position to release an unarmed store by moving a safety member into a position whereat said actuating member is retained in such selected position. Further, the method of installing a store with respect to an aircraft by releasing a safety member to permit an actuating member to captively retain an arming wire.
Abstract:
In a spectrophotometer including a photomultiplier tube responsive to light for producing an analog current proportional to the intensity thereof, an analog-to-digital converter, a signal path from the photomultiplier tube to the analog-to-digital converter, the analog-to-digital converter producing a digital signal as a function of the analog current, and computer means responsive to the digital signal for generating a signal for compensating for the dark current of the photomultiplier tube, there is disclosed a method and means for reducing the dark current correction error by temporarily increasing the gain of the signal path during calculation of the value of the compensating signal.
