Abstract:
A reset circuit of a semiconductor circuit for reliably resetting plural reset target circuits in the semiconductor circuit, even when a surge noise signal having a short pulse length or the like is input to the reset circuit, the reset circuit including a reset signal control circuit for controlling timing of deactivating a reset instruction signal for resetting plural reset target circuits in the semiconductor circuit. Respective reset target circuits are for outputting reset completion signals to the reset signal control circuit when the respective reset target circuits have been reset. The reset signal control circuit also is for deactivating the reset instruction signal when all of the reset completion signals have been activated.
Abstract:
A liquid precursor for forming a layered superlattice material is applied to an integrated circuit substrate. The precursor coating is annealed in oxygen using a rapid temperature pulsing anneal (“RPA”) technique with a ramp rate of 30° C./second at a hold temperature of 650° C. for a holding time of 30 minutes. The RPA technique includes applying a plurality of rapid-temperature heat pulses in sequence.
Abstract:
When a group keyword is input to a group keyword setting area on a display screen and a grouping area is clicked, a grouping search command is applied to an image database system. Data belonging to the group keyword is retrieved from the database and representative images are displayed in a thumbnail image display area. When a thumbnail image is clicked, data belonging to the group represented by this representative image is displayed. This makes it possible to find a desired image in a comparatively simple manner.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, a semiconductor device is fabricated by the following processes. First, a film to be etched is formed on a semiconductor substrate. On the film to be etched is formed a resist film. Then, a first pattern group including first patterns having a first size and a second pattern group including second patterns arranged outside of the first pattern group are formed by exposure. The resist film is then developed to form openings in the resist film so that the resultant openings correspond to the first and second patterns, respectively. The openings are then made smaller by annealing the resist film. The aforementioned processes enables openings having substantially the same shape to be formed in the film to be etched.
Abstract:
A method of finishing an edge of a sheet glass is disclosed. The method includes a first grinding step for grinding an edge of a sheet glass so as to provide the edge with an outwardly convex curved shape, and a finishing step for finishing a bordering portion which has been formed by the first grinding step between the curved edge and each flat side face of the sheet glass, so as to provide this bordering portion with a greater smoothness than smoothness provided by the first grinding step. A heat-tempered sheet glass using the method and a fire-resistant construction material using this heat-tempered sheet glass are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An attachment construction for a sheet glass is disclosed. The construction includes a frame to be secured to a construction structure. A sheet glass is attached to this frame by fitting a peripheral edge of the sheet glass into the frame. A metal holder is disposed in contact with the peripheral edge of the sheet glass for holding the sheet glass. The sheet glass is attached to the frame via the holder member placed in contact with the sheet glass.
Abstract:
A linear guide apparatus is provided in which an excellent sealing performance is achieved. The linear guide apparatus includes a retainer for retaining plural cylindrical rollers rotatably in a rolling element rolling passage. The retainer includes an opening portion and accommodates for retention of the plural cylindrical rollers in the opening portion. The retainer also includes an endless seal unit surrounding the opening portion. The seal unit includes an inward facing lip inclining toward the inner side of the opening portion and extending toward the guide rail to be in sliding contact with the guide rail. The inward facing lip is formed continuously all around the seal unit. The seal unit includes an outward facing lip inclining toward the outer side of the opening portion and extending toward the guide rail to be in sliding contact with the guide rail, in addition to the inward facing lip.
Abstract:
A method for randomizing data to mitigate false VFO detection is described. In one embodiment, such a method includes simultaneously receiving multiple input data streams. Each input data stream is associated with a different track on a magnetic tape medium. The input data streams are simultaneously scrambled to produce multiple randomized data streams. The input data streams are scrambled such that different bit patterns are produced in the randomized data streams even where corresponding bit patterns in the input data streams are identical. The randomized data streams are simultaneously written to their associated data tracks on the magnetic tape medium.
Abstract:
A method for physically laying out data on tape is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, such a method includes receiving a data set, wherein the data set includes S sub data sets (SDSs) of fixed size and each SDS includes N codeword interleaves (CWIs). The method further distributes the CWIs for the S SDSs across T tracks on a physical tape medium such that the distances between CWIs of the same SDS are substantially maximized on the physical tape medium. To maximize the distances, the method periodically rotates the tracks within the data set by a track rotation value R, wherein the number of tracks T is equal to 2k, and the track rotation value R is equal to 2k−1−1. A corresponding apparatus is also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
Memory access arbitration allowing a shared memory to be used both as a memory for a processor and as a buffer for data flows, including an arbiter unit that makes assignment for access requests to the memory sequentially and transfers blocks of data in one round-robin cycle according to bandwidths required for the data transfers, sets priorities for the transfer blocks so that the bandwidths required for the data transfers are met by alternate transfer of the transfer blocks, and executes an access from the processor with an upper limit set for the number of access times from the processor to the memory in one round-robin cycle so that the access from the processor with the highest priority and with a predetermined transfer length exerts less effect on bandwidths for data flow transfers in predetermined intervals between the transfer blocks.
