    摘要: An engine is provided with a mechanical supercharger which is disposed in an intake passage of the engine and is driven by the output power of the engine. The supercharger is connected to and disconnected from the output power of the engine by a clutch. The engine has intake and exhaust valves which are opened and closed with an overlap time. A valve timing changing mechanism changes the overlap time in order to change the amount of air communicated between the intake and exhaust ports. A controller controls the valve timing changing mechanism and the clutch so that the amount of air communicated between the intake and exhaust ports is reduced and the supercharger is disconnected from the output power of the engine and does not operate when the operating condition of the engine is in a first operational range in which the amount of intake air is not more than a first preset value, the former is increased and the latter is connected with the output power of the engine so as to operate when the operating condition of the engine is in a second operational range in which the amount of intake air is not less than a second preset value which is larger than the first preset value, and the former is increased and the latter is disconnected from the output power of the engine when the operating condition of the engine is in a third operational range in which the amount of intake air is between the first and second preset values.

    摘要: A dressing device for dressing a grinding stone is disclosed. The grinding stone is used for grinding an edge of a glass pane. The dressing device comprises a container in which dressing members are contained and piled. A grooved holding member mounts thereon the container. The holding member includes a front portion projected forward from a front wall of the container and a rear portion projected rearward from a rear wall of the container. The front and rear walls of the container are respectively formed with front and rear openings whose lower peripheries are bounded by a bottom wall of the groove of the grooved holding member. The front opening is so sized to pass therethrough each of the dressing members. A pushing plate is slidably received in the groove of the rear portion of the holding member. The pushing plate is so sized so as to pass through the rear opening. The hydraulically oprated cylinder moves reciprocatively the pushing plate in the along the groove between a position wherein a forward end of the pushing plate is deeply inserted into the container through the rear opening and another position wherein the forward end is drawn away from the container.

    摘要: An intake system utilizing an air-fuel control which is changed in accordance with the coolant temperature. When the coolant temperature is lower than the first coolant temperature, an open loop control is carried out in accordance with the coolant temperature so that a fluctuation of the air-fuel ratio can be restricted so as to obtain a stability. An air-fuel feedback control is carried out between the first and second coolant temperatures wherein the air-fuel ratio is maintained at the stoichiometric value so that an increase of NO.sub.X emitted from the engine can be suppressed. In the region in which the coolant temperature exceeds the second temperature, an air-fuel feedback control is carried out in the lean mixture side of the stoichiometric value in accordance with the coolant temperature to thereby improve the emission performance of the engine.

    摘要: A throttle valve control system comprises an accelerator position sensor for detecting the amount of operation of the accelerator, a throttle valve opening degree determining circuit which receives the output of the accelerator position sensor and determines the opening degree of the throttle valve, and a throttle valve driving device which drives the throttle valve to the position corresponding to the opening degree determined by the throttle valve opening degree determining circuit. The throttle valve opening degree determining circuit is arranged to determine the opening degree of the throttle valve with respect to the amount of operation of the accelerator so that the change in the opening degree of the throttle valve for a given change in the amount of operation of the accelerator is relatively small when the amount of operation of the accelerator is in an intermediate range and is relatively large when the amount of operation of the accelerator is above or below the intermediate range.

    摘要: An improved distribution constant type filter provided with a connecting arrangement which includes a through-opening formed in a dielectric block of the filter along a first cavity of a resonance unit at an initial stage, and a connector provided in the through-opening so that one end of the connector is electrically conducted to a conductive layer formed on part of the outer surface of the dielectric block, with the other end of the connector being connected to an external circuit to receive an input signal. The through-opening is preferably small in lateral cross section relative to the first cavity and positioned at a central portion in a widthwise direction of the dielectric block, and thus, coupling magnetic between the resonance unit and the external circuit suppresses a TE11 resonance mode in the filter.

    摘要: An engine intake system includes a combustion chamber, a first intake port opening to the combustion chamber, and a second intake port opening to the combustion chamber. A shut-off valve is provided for blocking intake gas flow to the combustion chamber through the second intake port in a first engine operating region wherein engine load is relatively small, and allowing the intake gas to flow to the combustion chamber through the second intake port in a second engine operating region wherein the engine load is relatively large. A first valve actuating mechanism is provided for opening the first intake valve at a first timing, and a second valve actuating mechanism is provided for opening the second intake valve at a second timing. A valve timing changing device is provided for changing the first timing with respect to the second timing so that the first intake valve is closed later than the second intake valve in the second engine operating region, and so that the first intake valve is closed at least in a certain engine operating zone in the first engine operating region at a timing which is more advanced than the timing at which the first intake valve is closed in the second engine operating region.
