    摘要: An apparatus is proposed for detecting operating characteristics of an internal combustion engine. It has an optical sensor whose output signal is delivered to an amplifier with a variable transmission behavior. As a result, it is possible to have either a stepped or a continuous adaptation of the sensor sensitivity to various operational points of the engine. It is particularly proposed that the amplification for the measurement signal be selected to be high in the case of an opto-electrical combustion chamber observation in a low load range, while it is selected to be low in a high load range, so that relatively equalized measurement results are available for use.

    摘要: A hydraulic valve control apparatus in an embodiment for multi-cylinder internal combustion engine having a reservoir chamber, assigned to a pressure chamber of a valve tappet and having a reservoir piston that serves as a valve, with which the reservoir chamber can be separated from the pressure chamber. The reservoir piston is shifted out of its position of repose to a reservoir function by a hydraulic thrust that is conducted in the reservoir chamber under the control of a magnet valve, via a control line in which a check valve is disposed. Displacement of the reservoir piston occurs only whenever a valve actuation takes place via the drive cam and as a result the working pressure adequate for the displacement of the reservoir piston prevails in the pressure chamber.

A plurality of pump pistons driven by drive cams at a constant stroke and each leading into one cylinder bore, pump the fuel that has been brought to injection pressure in an associated pump work chamber to injection valves. A plurality of pump pistons are positioned side by side, radially of the camshaft. The work chambers of the pump pistons are connectable via a rotary slide valve to lines which lead to the injection valves and optionally to supply lines for supplying fuel to the work chambers of the pump pistons and the rotary slide can be driven in synchronism with the camshaft.

    摘要: An apparatus for measuring particulate matter in a flue gas or exhaust gas of a combustion process comprising means for transmitting a beam of light between an optical transmitter and an optical receiver. The light passes through two diametrically opposed light slits closed by transparent bodies in the wall of the tail pipe and crosses through a flow of exhaust gas carried in the tail pipe. The attenuation of intensity of the light beam is a measure of the particulate matter. When the measuring apparatus is used to measure a soot concentration in an exhaust gas of internal combustion engines of a vehicle, it is mounted directly on the tail pipe, and the transparent bodies are heated in the vicinity of the faces acted upon by the exhaust gas flow to a temperature above the soot burn-off temperature. As a result, adulteration of the measured value by soot deposits in the measurement path to the transparent bodies is prevented, and continuous operation of the measuring apparatus is assured.

To prevent dieseling of the engine after the ignition is switched off, the seat valve is embodied such that it is very tightly closed when there is no current. To this end, the valve opening of the seat valve is embodied as an annular gap, coaxially surrounded on the inside and outside by a valve seat in the form of an annular double seat. The valve element of the seat valve is embodied as an annular disk of magnetically conductive material, which is loaded with a closing force acting in the closing direction of the seat valve. The pretension of the tension wire is influenced by the current flow in an electrical current circuit which is fed to an electric resistor element being installed into the injection jet. The resistor element may be formed by the tension wire itself or by coil of an electromagnet, whose anchor is coupled with the tension wire. Thus, the opening pressure (P.sub.o) of the injection jet or the injection process can be controlled in a simple manner or may be formed accurately in accordance with a predetermined principle.
