    摘要: An apparatus for making a nonwoven spunbond web has a spinneret for making endless filaments moving in a predetermined direction. A monomer extractor downstream from the spinneret has an upstream extractor end face directed upstream and forming a gap with a downstream spinneret end face. A cooler downstream of the extractor for the filaments has an upstream cooler end face forming with a downstream extractor end face a second gap. A stretcher downstream of the cooler for the cooled filaments has an upstream stretcher end face forming a third gap with the downstream cooler end face. The filaments are deposited on a web former by the stretcher to form the nonwoven spunbond web. A deformable seal for seals one of the gaps, and means connected to the deformable seal press the seal against the end faces forming the one gap with a variable pressure or contact face.

    摘要: Excretion by a diaper wearer in a diaper is predicted by providing in or on the diaper on the wearer an excretion detector capable of detecting excretion by the diaper wearer and a motion sensor capable of detecting movements of the diaper wearer. The sensor continuously detects and at least temporarily records movements of the diaper wearer, and these detected movements are analyzed to determine movement patterns. Then, on detection of excretion by the detector, a movement pattern immediately preceding the detection of excretion is stored or flagged as a critical movement pattern. Thereafter each time movements matching the critical movement pattern are detected, a signal is sent to a user.

    摘要: A spunbond nonwoven from thermoplastic filaments is made by spinning the filaments from at least one spinner, cooling and stretching the spun filaments, depositing the cooled and stretched filaments on a surface to form a nonwoven fleece web, and moving the fleece web in a travel direction. A liquid medium is introduced into the moving fleece web and it is then mechanically needled. The mechanically needled web is then subject to a hydraulic or hydrodynamic final consolidation by hydroentanglement to a basis weight of more than 80 g/m2 from a top side as well as from a lower side of the nonwoven fleece web by high-pressure water-jet bars above and below the nonwoven fleece web. O of the bars is upstream of the other bar and has a hpi density that is smaller than that of the other bar and that is equal to at most 40.

    摘要: An apparatus for applying a treatment liquid to a web moving in a predetermined web-travel direction has an applicator element having a surface extending transverse to the direction and positioned to contact the moving web. The liquid is applied to the surface such that the liquid is transferred to the moving web where the moving web contacts the surface. A shield directly engages a portion of the surface between the web and the surface so that where the shield extends between the moving web and the surface there is generally no transfer of the liquid from the surface to the moving web. Formations on the shield conduct the liquid away from edges of the shield.
