Abstract: Vehicle visual systems are disclosed to produce seamless and uniform surround-view images of the vehicle using a number of Ultra Wide-Angle (UWA) lens cameras and optionally HUD systems. A distributive system architecture wherein individual cameras are capable of performing various image transformations allows a flexible and resource efficient image processing scheme.

Abstract: A trailer type identification system is provided herein. The system includes an imaging device for capturing images of a trailer connected to a vehicle, and a controller for analyzing the captured. The controller identifies vehicle and trailer contours, predicts a trailer type based on detection of a connection between the identified vehicle and trailer contours, and validates the prediction if the identified trailer contour exhibits motion during a vehicle turn event.

Abstract: A camera monitoring system for a vehicle includes an interior rearview mirror assembly with a video display screen disposed behind the interior mirror reflective element. The video display screen is operable to display video images derived at least in part from image data captured by at least one video camera of a plurality of video cameras of the equipped vehicle. Image data captured by at least a driver-side viewing video camera and a passenger-side viewing video camera is provided to an image processor and is processed by the image processor to detect vehicles present exterior of the equipped vehicle. Responsive at least in part to detection of another vehicle, video images derived at least in part from image data captured by the driver-side viewing video camera, a rear viewing video camera and/or the passenger-side viewing video camera are displayed by the video display screen.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, a system, and a panoramic apparatus for mitigating color mutation in image fusion. The method may include: acquiring a plurality of top-view images to be synthesized, wherein each of the plurality of top-view images is corresponding to a parking camera respectively, the resolution of the first top-view images is same as the resolution of a preset object panoramic parking image; generating a plurality of stencil matrices corresponding to the plurality of first top-view images by identifying overlapping regions between effective pixel regions of the first top-view images, calculating overlapping weight value of each first top-view image in the overlapping regions and setting element values of matrix elements in the stencil matrices corresponding the pixel points as the overlapping weight values; and storing the generated a plurality of stencil matrices as system call files for subsequent synthesis of parking images.

Abstract: An accessory system for a vehicle includes an attachment element bonded to an in-cabin windshield surface at a first windshield location and an attachment member attached at the in-cabin windshield surface at a second windshield location. An interior rearview mirror assembly has a mirror support that has a mirror mount configured to mount the mirror assembly to the attachment element. A module is configured to be received by and be supported by the attachment member attached at the windshield. With the module received by and supported by the attachment member at the windshield, a camera of the module views through the windshield and is part of a driver assistance system of the vehicle. With the module received by and supported by the attachment member at the windshield, the mirror mount can be mounted to and demounted from the attachment element without demounting the module from the attachment member.

Abstract: A vehicle 1 towing a trailer 4 is fitted with three video cameras 5, 6, 7 fitted to the rear of the vehicle and on each door mirror. A view from any camera can be presented to the driver on a display 11. A predicted trailer path, calculated in a computing unit 10, is also presented to the driver on the display 11 as guide lines overlaid on the camera view. The computing unit 10 is also configured to calculate a hitch angle by tracking the position of a trailer-mounted marker in the camera view.

Abstract: A vehicle mounted side camera system for providing real time side view video of the area in front or behind a vehicle includes four camera members mounted to the exterior of a vehicle and in communication with a wireless display screen disposed on the dash of the vehicle. The camera members are mountable to the exterior of the vehicle through an attachment surface which includes a permanent adhesive and respectively positioned so as to provide a front right, front left, rear right, and rear left views. The display screen may define a discrete touchscreen mountable to the dash of the vehicle or it may be integral with an existing display screen on the vehicle. In operation, the vehicle mounted side camera system is operative to selectively display video from either the two front camera members or two back camera members simultaneously as a split screen.
