Abstract:
A feed injector for a circulating fluid bed reactor is fitted with a discharge nozzle with a circular, radially notched discharge orifice to improve the surface-to-volume ratio of the spray pattern formed by the nozzle. The feed injector is useful for injecting fluids into various types of circulating fluid bed reactors in which good contact between the components of the fluidized bed and the injected fluid is required. It is particularly useful in fluid coking reactors.
Abstract:
An atomizer includes a mixing chamber for mixing spray fuel and spray medium, a spray fluid flow passage for supplying the spray fluid into the mixing chamber, a spray medium flow passage for supplying the spray medium into the mixing chamber, and an outlet hole for spraying a mixed fluid of the spray fluid and the spray medium which have been mixed in the mixing chamber to the outside. The spray medium flow passage includes a first spray medium supply hole for supplying the spray medium into the mixing chamber, and a second spray medium supply hole for supplying the spray medium into a region more downstream than the first spray medium supply hole in the mixing chamber, and the second spray medium supply hole supplies the spray medium to a region around the outlet hole.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a burner design and method for a high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF) liquid fuel gun that generates turbulent atomization and uses one or more jets as an injection method for liquid fuel and oxygen to improve the combustion inside the combustion chamber. The burner uses preheated oxygen and preheated fuel to improve vaporization prior to combustion of the fuel.
Abstract:
According to various embodiments, a system includes a gasification fuel injector. The gasification fuel injector includes a fuel conduit configured to inject the fuel, the first oxygen conduit configured to inject oxygen, a second oxygen conduit configured to inject oxygen, and a cooling gas conduit configured to flow a cooling gas. The cooling gas is flame resistant.
Abstract:
The invention is an electrically operated gas/oil burner which is the improved version of “Electronically Igniting Fuel Oil Burner” documented before Turkish Patent Institute with number of TR 2007 01880 U, and before French and German Patent Offices abroad. Its specification is to burn gas/oil, and to provide efficient burning (blue burning) by atomizing fuel oil.
Abstract:
A method for stabilizing the flame of a premixing burner, comprising a reaction chamber containing a fluid is provided. The method includes injecting an air-fuel mixture into the reaction chamber at a speed that is different from that of the fluid present in the reaction chamber, adjusting the speed such that vortices form at the boundary between the air-fuel mixture and the surrounding fluid. A premixing burner including a reaction chamber and at least one premixing spray nozzle opening into the reaction chamber is also provided. The premixing burner injects an air-fuel mixture into the reaction chamber at a speed that is different from that of the surrounding fluid, the speed being adjusted such that vortices from at the boundary between the air-fuel mixture and the surrounding fluid.
