Abstract: A circuit assembly includes one or more electrical conductors. Each of the electrical conductors has a first axial end and a second axial end; the first axial end is disposed opposite the second axial end. The assembly further comprises a non-electrically conductive retainer component operable to: i) retain the electrical conductor and ii) contact a lateral side and/or tip of the electrical conductor onto a conductive pad of a circuit board. The retainer component exerts an appropriate force with respect to the one or more electrical conductors such that, a respective lateral side and/or tip of each of the electrical conductors contact a corresponding electrically conductive pad on the circuit board.

Abstract: A circuit board assembly and a method of manufacturing the same is provided, by which, when external pressure is applied to a cover, deformation of the cover caused by the external pressure is suppressed and no adverse effect is produced to electronic components on a circuit board. A cover of a circuit board assembly includes a first cover to cover a first surface of a circuit board and a second cover to cover a second surface of the circuit board. A projection portion projects from an inner surface of the first cover. When a complete circuit board assembly is formed by insert-molding using the circuit board assembly as an insert part, the projection portion suppresses deformation of the first cover and the second cover.

Abstract: A blind-mate connector (10, 20, 100) has a barrel (11, 21, 105), a base (12, 22, 110) at the back end of the barrel, an insulator (17, 27) mounted in the base, and a center conductor (15, 25) extending from near the front end of the barrel, through the insulator, and extending beyond the back end of the base, with the center conductor being held by the insulator. One type has sidewalls (13, 23) extending rearwardly from the back end of the base, and alignment notches (14, 24) on the sidewalls, the alignment notches extending only partially from the back ends of the sidewalls toward the base. Another type has alignment tabs (125) extending rearwardly from the back end, and sidewalls (130) extending rearwardly from the back end of the base, the first tab being above the first sidewall.

Abstract: A method for connecting direct light bars includes: providing connection wires, each of which has two ends to each of which a copper ring is mounted; providing light bars, each of which includes a wiring board having a first exposed copper zone that has a hole to serve as a circuit connection contact; providing a circuit board that has a second exposed copper zone including a hole to serve as a circuit connection contact; and positioning the two copper rings of each connection wire on the circuit connection contacts of the first and/or second exposed copper zones to be in alignment with the holes so as to allow the two copper rings to be connected to the holes corresponding thereto to establish circuit connection between the copper rings and the corresponding first and/or second exposed copper zones of the circuit board and the wiring boards of the light bars.

Abstract: A USB cable end connector and the method of making the same are disclosed. The cable end connector includes a first contact module, a second contact module, a central grounding unit sandwiched between the two contact modules, a shielding shell enclosing the first and the second contact modules; and a grounding means attached to the first and the second contact modules along a height direction of the connector. The grounding means includes an upper grounding pad and a lower grounding pad. Abstract: The present invention relates to connector tools for seating connectors on a substrate such as a printed circuit board. In various embodiments, the connector tools can be made by wire electrode discharge machining (WEDM) process. In the embodiments, the connector tool includes reinforced ribbed end walls, ribbed internal walls, interconnected walls and contours that reduce tool and connector damage. In other embodiments, the connector tools include guiding structures that align the connector tool to the connector before seating the connector so that the connector tool aligns to the connector pins and body to avoid damage to the connector and/or the substrate. In another embodiment, the connector tool has guiding skirts and surfaces to capture the connector in position then seat the connector. Thus, the invention reduces connector and substrate damage during manufacturing, reduces tool damage, and lowers product costs by boosting manufacturing yields.
