    摘要: A method for controlling movement of a marine vessel near an object includes accepting a signal representing a desired movement of the marine vessel from a joystick. A sensor senses a shortest distance between the object and the marine vessel and a direction of the object with respect to the marine vessel. A controller compares the desired movement of the marine vessel with the shortest distance and the direction. Based on the comparison, the controller selects whether to command the marine propulsion system to generate thrust to achieve the desired movement, or alternatively whether to command the marine propulsion system to generate thrust to achieve a modified movement that ensures the marine vessel maintains at least a predetermined range from the object. The marine propulsion system then generates thrust to achieve the desired movement or the modified movement, as commanded.

    摘要: A satellite system for detecting radio frequency signals from space including at least two sensors, a processing unit and at least one receiver. Each sensor receives a plurality of radio frequency signals containing messages and outputs a sensor signal that is representative of the plurality of radio frequency signals. The processing unit selects a predetermined number of mathematical combinations of the sensor signals and combines the sensor signals into the predetermined number of mathematical combinations to produce a plurality of zone signals. The characteristics of each zone signal are undefined at the time the predetermined number of mathematical combinations is selected. The receiver extracts the messages contained in the zone signals.

    摘要: The present invention provides techniques for detecting foreign objects in a region of interest in maritime environments. Image data indicative of a sequence of successively acquired images of the region of interest, is analyzed to determine candidate points of interest, and data indicative of said points is processed to identify candidate points that are adjacently accumulated in different locations in images data. Grouping data may be then generated based on the identified accumulations of candidate points indicative of a group of said candidate points. The grouping data is processed to identify spatio-temporal correlation between the points in the group and determine a corresponding track function, thereby enabling detection of a presence of a foreign object in the image data.

    摘要: A marine threat monitoring and defense system and method protects a target vessel in icy or other marine regions. The system uses communications, user interfaces, and data sources to identify marine obstacles (e.g., icebergs, ice floes, pack ice, etc.) near a target vessel performing set operations (e.g., a stationed structure performing drilling or production operations or a seismic survey vessel performing exploration operations with a planned route). The system monitors positions of these identified marine obstacles over time relative to the target vessel and predicts any potential threats. When a threat is predicted, the system plans deployment of support vessels, beacons, and the like to respond to the threat. For example, the system can direct a support vessel to divert the path or break up ice threatening the target vessel.
