A dental prosthesis may be made of a ceramic material that comprises a molybdenum-containing component on a portion of the prosthesis that contacts the gingival surface of a patient. In one method, a porous zirconia ceramic structure is shaped in the form of a dental prosthesis, and then infiltrated with a molybdenum-containing composition, before sintering to densify the ceramic structure.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an electronic component capable of preventing entrance of a plating solution and a flux component at an interface to which an inner electrode of a ceramic element body is extended, and capable of forming an outer electrode of an arbitrary shape. A ceramic element body is made of a ceramic material containing a metal oxide, and part of an inner electrode is extended to extended surfaces of the ceramic element body. A base electrode is formed on each of the extended surfaces using a conductive paste to be connected to the inner electrode. Part of another surface of the ceramic element body adjacent to the extended surfaces is locally heated, and part of the metal oxide is reduced to form a reformed portion. A plating electrode is continuously formed over the base electrode and the reformed portion through a plating method to form outer electrodes.

摘要: An integrated polymer-derived ceramic (PDC) thin-film sensor produced by laser pyrolysis and additive manufacturing and a fabrication method thereof are provided. Using a metal component or an insulating material as a substrate, a PDC-doped composite insulating film layer with high density, high insulation, and high temperature resistance is formed by a layer-by-layer laser pyrolysis and additive manufacturing on the surface of the metal component, and a strain sensitive layer with excellent electrical conductivity is obtained by Weissenberg direct writing process PDC-doped filler sensitive grid on the composite insulating film layer and laser pyrolysis enhancing graphitization of PDC. In this way, the in situ integrated laser fabrication of highly insulating film layer, sensitive grid with excellent electrical conductivity, and metal substrate based on PDC materials is developed, which achieves the laser processing of “liquid-solid-function” transformation of PDC composites and allows the successful use thereof in strain sensing of metallic materials.

摘要: A method includes forming a ceramic matrix composite component by infiltrating an array of ceramic-based fibers with a ceramic-based matrix; forming a plurality of cooling holes in the ceramic matrix composite component; applying a slurry of particles in a carrier fluid to the ceramic matrix composite component such that the slurry passes through the cooling holes and wicks into the ceramic matrix composite material; and processing the ceramic matrix composite component to remove the carrier fluid, thereby leaving a filler at a wall surface of the plurality of cooling holes. A component is also disclosed.

摘要: A method includes performing ion beam sputtering with ion assisted deposition to deposit a protective layer on a surface of a body. The protective layer is a plasma resistant rare earth-containing film of a thickness less than 1000 µm. The porosity of the protective layer is below 1%. The plasma resistant rare earth-containing film consists of 40 mol% to less than 100 mol% of Y2O3, over 0 mol% to 60 mol% of ZrO2, and 0 mol% to 9 mol% of Al2O3.
