Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal-doped tin oxide which has a BET surface area of at least 30 m 2/g, and comprises at least one metal dopant which is Sb, Nb, Ta, Bi, W, or In, or any mixture thereof, wherein the metal dopant is present in an amount of from 2.5 at % to 25 at %, based on the total amount of tin and metal dopant atoms, and is in a mixed valence state containing atoms of oxidation state OS1 and atoms of oxidation state OS2, wherein the oxidation state OS1 is >0 and the oxidation state OS2 is >OS1 and the atomic ratio of the atoms of OS2 to the atoms of OS1 is from 1.5 to 12.0.

Abstract: Foam particles that have a bulk density below 300 kg/m3 and are based on polyamides, including 85% to 100% by weight of at least one copolyamide obtainable by polymerizing the following components: (A) 15% to 84% by weight of at least one lactam, (B) 16% to 85% by weight of a monomer mixture (M) including the following components: (B1) at least one C32-C40 dimer acid and (B2) at least one C4-C12 diamine, wherein the monomer mixture (M) includes in the range from 45 to 55 mol % of component (B1) and in the range from 45 to 55 mol % of component (B2), based on the total molar amount of the monomer mixture (M), and the sum total of the components of (A) and (B) is 100% by weight, and processes for production thereof.

Abstract: A composition comprises polyalkylene terephthalate and terpolymer of alkylene diol, isophthalic acid and terephthalic acid, and polyalkylene terephthalate reinforcing fiber. The composition may be used to form an article, alone or with other thermoplastic material, at lower processing temperature, with higher melt flowability. The article formed is characterized with lower warpage and improved mechanical properties. The article may be useful for automotive, electrical, household, construction, and industrial applications. A method of preparing such thermoplastic polyester is also disclosed.

Abstract: A process for preparing a zeolitic material having an AEI-type framework structure having SiO2 and X2O3 in its framework, X standing for a trivalent element, may involve: (1) preparing a mixture of structure directing agent(s) and a first zeolitic material with SiO2 and X2O3 in its framework, the first zeolitic material having a FER, TON, MTT, FAU, GIS, MOR, BEA, MFI, and LTA framework; (2) heating the mixture to obtain a second zeolitic material having an AEI-type framework with SiO2 and X2O3 in its framework; (3) optionally calcining the second zeolitic material; (4) optionally subjecting the zeolitic material from (2) or (3) to ion-exchange, preferably ion-exchanging ionic extra-framework element(s) in the zeolite framework for H+ and/or NH4+; (5) calcining the zeolitic material from (2), (3), or (4) at greater than 600 to 900° C., the calcining atmosphere containing less than 10 vol.-% of H2O. Such zeolites can convert oxygenates to olefins.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for treating rice. The method comprises the steps of: providing a domestic rice crop plant and at least one ACCase-inhibiting aryloxyphenoxypropanoate herbicide selected from the group consisting of quizalofop or an ester thereof, haloxyfop, fluazifop or an ester thereof, clodinafop, clodinafop-propargyl, diclofop, and diclofop-methyl; applying an effective amount (measured in g AI/Ha) of the at least one aryloxyphenoxypropanoate herbicide to the domestic rice crop plant, post-emergence; thereby creating a treated rice plant; and growing the resulting treated rice plant.
