    摘要: The present invention includes a process and catalyst composition for paraffinic isomerization of a hydrocarbon feedstock which has a paraffin content having no more than 20 carbon atoms per molecule. The feedstock is contacted with a crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite catalyst having pore openings defined by: (1) a ratio of sorption of n-hexane to o-xylene, on a volume percent basis, of greater than about 3, which sorption is determined at a P/P.sub.o of 0.1 and at a temperature of 50.degree. C. for n-hexane and 80.degree. C. for o-xylene and (2) by the ability of selectively cracking 3-methylpentane (3MP) in preference to the doubly branched 2,3-dimethylbutane (DMB) at 1000.degree. F. and 1 atmosphere pressure from a 1/1/1 weight ratio mixture of n-hexane/3-methyl-pentane/2,3-dimethylbutane, with the ratio of rate constants k.sub.3MP/ k.sub.DMB determined at a temperature of 1000.degree. F. being in excess of about 2, e.g., ZSM-22, ZSM-23, AXM-35 and mixtures thereof, in combination with a Group VIII metal, and having a zeolite SiO.sub.2 /Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 ratio of at least about 20:1 at a temperature and pressure suitable for isomerization.

    摘要: Hydrocracked, low pour lubricating oils of good stability are manufactured by passing a suitable hydrocarbon feed sequentially through a hydrocracking zone, a catalytic dewaxing zone, and a hydrotreating zone, all at high pressure and in that order, and with separation of hydrocrackate from recycle hydrogen prior to dewaxing. Only clean makeup hydrogen is fed to the dewaxer, passed through the hydrotreater, and then on to the hydrocracker, thereby providing an exceptionally efficient process.

    摘要: An improved method is disclosed for converting synthesis gas to hydrocarbon mixtures wherein the syngas is contacted with a special catalyst comprising a crystalline zeolite having a silica-to-alumina ratio of greater than 200 (including zeolites containing essentially no alumina) and an (R.sub.2 O+ M.sub.2 /.sub.n O): SiO.sub.2 ratio of less than 1.1:1 where M is a metal other than a metal of Group IIIA, n is the valence of said metal, and R is an alkyl ammonium radical, said organosilicate being characterized by a specified x-ray diffraction pattern. In a specific embodiment of this invention, synthesis gas is contacted with a catalyst comprising an intimate mixture of said crystalline zeolite catalyst and iron-containing, Fischer-Tropsch catalyst to produce a liquid hydrocarbon product having a boiling range of less than 400.degree. F. at a 90 percent overhead and being a predominantly olefinic product, wherein the structure of the olefins is substantially branched chain with internally-positioned double bonds.
