    摘要: A unified open loop single-user/multiple-user multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system and method are disclosed. The system and method operate without use of channel state information feedback. Instead, the method utilizes channel quality indicator feedback to schedule users to spatial resource blocks. Both symmetric multi-user MIMO schemes (like 2×2 and 4×4) and asymmetric multi-user MIMO schemes are considered. CQI feedback and reduction proposals are also introduced. The method may be used in a proposed network topology.

    摘要: An all-fiber device platform for producing high-power ROGB or RGB laser output comprises an optical fiber including multiple waveguide gain regions embedded within a common inner cladding and within an outer cladding, an optical cavity defined by dielectric reflectors and/or FBG mirrors, and a pump source for exciting one or more active ionic species by one or multiple pump wavelengths from one or both ends of the optical fiber through upconversion process. An apparatus for producing sequential or simultaneous multiple wavelength laser operation provides for applications of color projection displays and biomedical or other instrumentation.

    摘要: A method is used in sizing volatile memory (VM) cache based on flash-based cache usage. A user selection for a flash-based cache is received. Based on the selection, configuration and sizing factors are provided, by a flash based cache driver, to VM cache size determination logic. Based on the configuration and sizing factors and a sizing formula and rules, a requested VM cache size is produced by the VM cache size determination logic. Based on the requested VM cache size, the VM cache is caused, via VM cache resizing logic, to be resized to the requested VM cache size.

    摘要: A system and methods for estimating a noise power level in an uplink signal for a virtual MIMO system is disclosed. The system comprises a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) module configured to obtain a DMRS receive symbol from the uplink signal and determine a DMRS sequence for a first UE in the virtual MIMO system. An autocorrelation module is configured to calculate an average autocorrelation value for the subcarriers in the uplink signal. A cross-correlation module is configured to calculate first and second cross-correlation values of the uplink signal RZ(l) for values of l selected such that the sum of the received power from the first UE and the second UE can be accurately estimated. A noise power level module is configured to determine the noise power level for the uplink signal using the average autocorrelation value and the first and second cross correlation values.
