    摘要: A field emission device by which a color image can be displayed and a method for fabricating the same are provided. The anodes to be doped with the fluorescent film of the same color are connected to each other so that the color fluorescent film can be coated on the anodes of the front surface substrate using the electrophoretic method. The anodes crossing each other are detoured by forming an insulating layer in an area in which the electrodes cross each other. It is possible to obtain a cheap and clean fluorescent film by sequentially forming the fluorescent films of the respective colors by the electrophoretic method. Packaging can be easily performed since the anodes of the front surface substrate on which the fluorescent film is formed can easily contact the external terminals of the rear surface substrate.

    摘要: An apparatus for sealing the substrates of a field emission device and a method therefor are provided. The sealing apparatus according to the present invention includes an optical fiber arranged between two substrates near their edges, frit attached to the outer surface of the optical fiber for sealing a space between the two substrates with the optical fiber, a vacuum chamber, a thermal control gauge for controlling the temperature of the substrates during sealing, a plurality of substrate supporting holders having sharp pointed head portions for supporting the substrates on a minimal area, a plurality of heaters spaced from the two substrates by a predetermined distance, a gas injecting hole and a gas exhausting hole provided in one of the two substrates, and an Ar and H.sub.2 gas injector contacting the gas injecting hole.

    摘要: A method is provided for fabricating a field emission device which can be adopted as the source for a flat panel display, an ultra-high frequency amplifier sensor, or an electron-beam-applied instrument. A polyimide layer is used as a release layer and a metal mask is formed thereon, thereby enabling the height of micro-tips to be easily controlled. Since the polyimide layer is soluble in an appropriate solvent, contamination does not occur during an etching process, thereby increasing the reliability of the device.

The method for manufacturing the microstructure using the LIGA process contemplates forming a substrate for the microstructure, a plurality of photosensitive layers, each photosensitive layer having a plating hole and an aligning pinhole, and an aligning pin capable of being inserted into the aligning pinhole, with the aligning pinholes of the photosensitive layers being formed in corresponding positions, and repeating a process of stacking the photosensitive layer on the substrate for the microstructure and a process of forming a plating layer by plating the plating hole of the stacked photosensitive layer with a metal for a number of times corresponding to the number of the photosensitive layers, and when the photosensitive layers are stacked on the substrate for the structure, the photosensitive layers being aligned with one another by inserting the aligning pin into the aligning pinholes of all the photosensitive layers stacked on the substrate for the microstructure to penetrate all the photosensitive layers.
