摘要： A guide member for a curtain airbag that a pipe or rod shaped guide extending vertically relative to the vehicle body along a C pillar. The guide member includes, upper and lower fixing sections for fixing the upper and lower ends of the guide to the C pillar. The guide member also includes temporarily tacking sections for tacking the upper and lower fixing sections to the C pillar, when the guide member is mounted to the C pillar. The C pillar has temporarily-tacking-section insertion openings corresponding to the temporarily tacking sections. When the guide member is mounted to the C pillar, the temporarily tacking sections are inserted into the corresponding temporarily-tacking-section insertion openings for engagement, so that the guide member can be temporarily tacked to the C pillar.

摘要： A method of actively guiding and helping the user is disclosed, in which various supporting functions can be performed in accordance with a particular user situation. The method is equipped with user situation detection data having at least a user situation and a corresponding interaction pattern activated in such a user situation, supporting function select data having at least a user situation and a corresponding user supporting function name to be activated in the particular user situation, and at least one user supporting function. Each time an input is received from the user, the contents of the input are stored as an operation log data. The interaction pattern data of the user situation detection data is compared with the operation log data. If there is any coincident interaction pattern data, the supporting function select data is retrieved with the corresponding user situation data as a key, and the corresponding supporting function name is read, thereby activating the supporting function associated with the particular supporting function name.

摘要： The improved method for treating waste gases by exposure to electron beams which comprises adding ammonia to a waste gas containing sulfur oxide (SO.sub.x) and/or nitrogen oxides (NO.sub.x) and thereafter exposing the gas to an electron beam so as to remove the sulfur oxides and/or nitrogen oxides therefrom is characterized by first mixing ammonia gas uniformly with air, then forming a homogeneous gas-liquid mixture from said gaseous mixture and water, and spraying said homogeneous mixture into a reactor. Efficient desulfurization can be realized even if the temperature of the waste gas being treated is fairly high at the exit of the reactor and the concentration of ammonium sulfamate in the by-product ammonium sulfate can be reduced.

摘要： A composite copper alloy bearing is provided with a backing metal layer, an intermediate layer of Cu--Pb alloy, and a surface layer of Al--Sn alloy. A thickness of the surface layer is not less than either larger value selected between 0.06 mm and a value 0.2 times the sum of thicknesses of the intermediate layer and the surface layer but not more than a value 0.5 times the sum of the thicknesses of the intermediate layer and the surface layer. With this construction, the surface layer exhibits excellent sliding properties while the intermediate layer maintains high conformability, and therefore there can be provided the composite copper alloy bearing which has high fatigue strength particularly even in a case where a shaft susceptible to misalignment is used.

摘要： A multi-layer bearing consists of a backing steel plate, a layer of Cu--Pb bearing alloy comprising, by weight, 1 to 20% of Ni and containing Pb-phase grains dispersed in the matrix, and an overlay of Pb alloy containing In. In in the overlay is diffused into the Pb-phase grains in the bearing alloy layer and forms a diffusion layer of high corrosion resistance in which In coexists with the Pb-phase grains, in an area of 30 to 200 .mu.m from the interface to the overlay. Even if the overlay is worn and the Cu--Pb bearing alloy layer is exposed, high corrosion resistance will be maintained.

摘要： A copper-alloy slide bearing for a low-rigidity housing having a three-layer structure of a steel back-metal, a copper-alloy layer and an overlay, the back metal containing 0.03 to 0.26% by weight of carbon. During the production of the slide bearing, a bimetal is prepared in such a manner that a back-metal portion is rolled at a total rolling reduction of 10 to 35%, and the resultant bimetal is heat-treated at a relatively low temperature, so that the slide bearing includes a back metal having a 0.01% elastic limit of not less than 300 N/mm.sup.2. When the copper-alloy slide bearing is used in a low-rigidity housing of an internal combustion engine, the slide bearing is capable of more excellently following the deformation of the housing, as well as capable of providing more excellent intimate contact and more excellent fretting resistance, than a conventional multi-layer slide bearing.
