A phenylalanine-glycine compound of formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents a residue of an antitumor substance, or a salt or ester thereof, a process for preparation thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same are described. The novel conjugate of the phenylalanine-glycine compound and the antitumor substance exhibits superior antitumor activity in comparison with the case wherein an antitumor substance is administered alone or as a mixture with phenylalanine.

Azole derivatives (including stereoisomers and pharmaceutically acceptable salts) of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each are H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sub.3 is H, OH, CN, halogen, haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or phenyl, and if there are two or more R.sub.3 groups, such R.sub.3 groups may be the same or different; n is an integer from 0 to 5; Y is N or CH; and X is O, S or NH have antimycotic and aromatase inhibitory activities. Compositions containing the azole derivatives and a method of treating mycosis and estrogen-dependent diseases by administering effective quantities of the azole derivatives are also disclosed.

Resin compositions of improved dispersibility and mechanical properties are obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable compound (A), insitu in a melted thermoplastic resin (B), in the presence of a dispersant (C) reactive or compatible with at least one of the resin (B) and polymerizate of (A).Suitable dispersants include those represented by the general formula (1) or (2)R.sub.1 --L(X--M--X--L).sub.n X--M--R.sub.2 (1)R.sub.1 --L(X--M--X--L).sub.n --R.sub.2 (2)wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are groups, such as hydrocarbyl acyl, alkoxy, hydroxyl, mercapto, amino, epoxy, isocyanate, carboxylic, carboxylic anhydride, carboxylic halide and aldehyde groups; L and M are residues of a polymer having a number average molecular weight of about 500-about 3,000,000, the difference in solubility parameter between the residue L or M and the resin (B) or polymerizate of (A) being not more than 0.5; X is a residue of a difunctional compound, such as organic diisocyanates, dicarboxylic acids, diamines, diols and diepoxides, the molecular weight of X being not more than a quater of that of L and M; and n is 0 or an integer of at least 1.

A solid-state imaging apparatus includes a charge-coupled device having photoelectric converting means for accumulating charges corresponding to incident light rays and having a charge storage means for storing and transforming said accumulated charges during periods determined by a bias signal. Means are provided for controlling the period of the bias signal and read-out means are provided for obtaining the video signal from the charge-coupled device.
