    Abstract: The present invention provides a vibratory device used by holding in hand for general massage of skin as well as stimulation of erogenous zones. The vibratory device generally comprises a body, a vibrating plate positioned on the lower end of the body, a hand grip region at the upper end of the body. A speed controller is provided near the hand grip to control the speed of vibration. The vibratory device further can have a massage pad removably attached to the vibrating plate to absorb the vibrations. A soft elastomeric material such as CyberSkin can be removably attached to the massage pad for providing enhanced stimulation and sensitivity to the skin. The vibratory device provides stimulating erogenous zones directly on the skin or over the clothes in the crotch area for sexual exploration. The vibratory device allows easy control of the intensity and frequency of vibrations.

    Abstract: A massage apparatus is provided. The massage apparatus comprises a housing, an active assembly and a flexible component. The active assembly, which is fixed on one side of the housing approximately along an axis, comprises an adjusting motor, a plurality of adjustable elements and a plurality of supporting elements. The flexible component clads the active assembly. The adjustable elements surrounding the axis are located outside the adjusting motor. The supporting elements surrounding the axis are located outside the adjustable elements and correspondingly coupled to the adjustable elements.     Abstract: A pulmonary expansion therapy (PXT) device may be a handheld device that covers specific lung fields and may generate negative pressure fields locally. The device also may provide vibratory/percussion therapy for airway clearance. The PXT may generate a localized negative pressure field non-invasively to the exterior of the chest wall, thereby increasing the functional residual capacity in underlying lung fields. As a result, increased ventilation and perfusion to the targeted internal lung field may be achieved by creating a decrease in the external barometric pressure relative to the more positive intrinsic airway pressures. The PXT device also may improve lung compliance by enabling a medical professional to grab and elevate the chest wall to compensate for the dysfunction of the respiratory musculature responsible for lifting the chest wall. In some embodiments, once a targeted functional residual capacity (FRC) has been established, vibration or percussion may be applied.

    Abstract: A system for extending a finger of a hand comprises structural elements configured to be inserted into a flexed finger and capable of providing a controllable force to extend the finger. In some embodiments, structural elements comprise a cam connected to a spacer, the spacer connected to a first strut, and a second strut holding a loading assembly, an end piece and a spring. The loading assembly compresses or relaxes the spring, which exerts a variable force on the end piece, which rotates the cam and the first strut about an extension angle. When the extension angle is minimal, the first and second struts are substantially parallel. A method of extending a finger of a hand substantially fixed in a flexed position comprises inserting a system comprising structural elements into the finger and thereafter providing a force to extend the finger and maintaining the force for a period of time.
