Abstract: A rotary dial assembly including a dial portion and a base portion. The dial portion has a knob extending from a first side of the dial portion. An outer detent profile and an inner detent profile are on a second side of the dial portion that is opposite to the first side. The inner detent profile is closer to a center of the dial portion than the outer detent profile. The outer detent profile includes a plurality of outer detents, and the inner detent profile includes a plurality of inner detents. The base portion includes an outer detent engaging member movable to selectively engage the outer detent profile, and an inner detent engaging member movable to selectively engage the inner detent profile.

Abstract: What is disclosed is a method for augmented reality head up display in a user vehicle comprising: capturing, by input devices, input data; receiving, by a communications manager, said captured input data from said input devices; receiving, by said communications manager, data from a communications path from at least one of a data center, and one or more external parties; providing, by said communications manager, said received captured input data from said input devices, and said data received from said communications path to a central processing unit (CPU) coupled to said communications manager; generating, by said CPU, custom data based on at least one of said received captured input data, and said data received from said communications path; and displaying, by a windshield projector, said generated custom data on a windshield of said vehicle.

Abstract: A state of charge indicator includes a first indication unit that provides an indicator display within a predetermined display range including first and second ends, according to an increase/decrease in a state of charge of a battery of a hybrid vehicle. In an EV traveling mode, the first indication unit allows the first and second ends to correspond respectively to an upper limit of a state of charge range directed to the EV traveling mode, and a first threshold that defines switching from the EV traveling mode to an HV traveling mode. In the HV traveling mode, the first indication unit allows the first and second ends to correspond respectively to a second threshold that defines switching from the HV traveling mode to the EV traveling mode, and a lower limit of a state of charge range directed to the HV traveling mode.

Abstract: Provided is a display device for which the display content is easily viewed. A display device comprises: a cover plate having a gauge section on which an index is represented and a light transmitting portion that transmits light from the back; a needle that rotates on the gauge section and points to the index; and a display that is disposed behind the light transmitting portion and shows an image via the light transmitting portion. When viewing the display device in planar view, the gauge section has an overlapping region that overlaps with a portion of a display section where the display emits light, and the cover plate adheres to the display by a transparent resin that is between the cover plate and the display and spans at least the region of the light transmitting portion.
