    Abstract: A state of charge indicator includes a first indication unit that provides an indicator display within a predetermined display range including first and second ends, according to an increase/decrease in a state of charge of a battery of a hybrid vehicle. In an EV traveling mode, the first indication unit allows the first and second ends to correspond respectively to an upper limit of a state of charge range directed to the EV traveling mode, and a first threshold that defines switching from the EV traveling mode to an HV traveling mode. In the HV traveling mode, the first indication unit allows the first and second ends to correspond respectively to a second threshold that defines switching from the HV traveling mode to the EV traveling mode, and a lower limit of a state of charge range directed to the HV traveling mode.

    Abstract: A semiconductor device includes: a diagnosis portion which diagnoses, when the device is started up, whether an abnormality occurs in a component for setting that is externally connected; and a control portion which stops the startup of the device when the diagnosis portion diagnoses that an abnormality occurs, the diagnosis portion diagnoses whether an abnormality occurs in which the connection of the component for setting that is a resistor is disconnected, the semiconductor device further includes an external terminal which is connected to one end of the resistor and the diagnosis portion includes a constant current circuit which passes a constant current through the resistor via the external terminal, a comparator to which a voltage produced at the external terminal is input and a transistor which switches between the connection and interruption of a path along which the constant current is passed.

    Abstract: A vehicle instrument device includes a housing for attaching a dial plate, a light guide plate housing recess formed in the housing, a light guide plate that is housed in the light guide plate housing recess, and guides illumination light to the dial plate, a claw that fixes the light guide plate to the housing, and a press-fitting rib that is provided in a side surface of the light guide plate, and extends toward a side wall of the light guide plate housing recess. The press-fitting rib includes a tapered portion for increasing a height from a back side to a front side of the light guide plate housing recess and a tapered portion for decreasing a width from the back side to the front side of the light guide plate housing recess.
