Abstract:
An electrochemical double layer capacitor (DLC) is configured for mounting on a PCB. A first connector component is configured at each individual terminal lead of the DLC capacitor. A second connector component is mounted on the PCB and includes a number of parallel connector elements at a footprint location for electrical mating contact with the DLC leads. The connector configuration produces a minimal increase in the ESR of the capacitor when mounted on the PCB.
Abstract:
A very small computer memory card is densely packed with a large number of flash EEPROM integrated circuit chips. A computer memory system provides for the ability to removably connect one or more of such cards with a common controller circuit that interfaces between the memory cards and a standard computer system bus. Alternately, each card can be provided with the necessary controller circuitry and thus is connectable directly to the computer system bus. An electronic system is described for a memory system and its controller within a single memory card. In a preferred physical arrangement, the cards utilize a main circuit board with a plurality of sub-boards attached thereto on both sides, each sub-board carrying several integrated circuit chips.

Abstract:
A secondary battery or capacitor fitted with terminals and occupies less area on a packaging substrate. Either one of the positive and negative terminals is mounted within the outer surface of the secondary battery or capacitor. This reduces the area occupied by the secondary battery or capacitor fitted with terminals on the substrate. At least one step is formed on the terminal positioned opposite to the substrate. This prevents electrical shorting between the positive electrode can and the negative terminal.

An electric lamp having a cap (10) of synthetic resin is suitable for use on a printed circuit board (6). The cap (10) has resilient arms (15) extending parallel to a plane (8) through the axis (2) of the lamp vessel (1). The holder portion (11) of the cap (10) holding the lamp vessel (1), and the arms (15) can clamp a p.c.b. (6) in between them. Means (19, 21) may be present to keep the lamp fixed in an opening (9) in the p.c.b. (6) or at an edge thereof. The lamp requires little space on a p.c.b.
Abstract:
A surface mounting type connector has a connector plug on its front and has a connector housing from which connector pins project at the rear. The connector pin holder is placed at the rear of the connector housing, and has through holes formed therein. Each of these through holes in positioned corresponding to one of the connector pins. On the inner surfaces of the through holes, through-hole conductors are formed. On one or both main planes of the connector pin holder, conductive patterns are connected to each of the through-hole conductors. Each of the tips of the connector pins is inserted into one of the through holes in the connector pin holder, and these tips of the connector pins are connected to the corresponding conductive patterns via the through-hole conductors. The connector housing is mounted onto the circuit board with its bottom plane on the circuit board, and the conductive patterns on the connector pin holder are connected to correspond with circuit patterns that are formed on the surface of the circuit board.
Abstract:
A visual indicator lamp support is provided comprising an elongate insulating body having a front face and a rear face substantially perpendicular to its longitudinal dimension and forming, at its front face, jaws for insertion of the indicator lamp, a bearing surface inside said body cooperating with the rear face of the indicator lamp, holes through which the wires thereof extend formed through said body and means for securing to a printed circuit card, wherein said body forms a reference surface perpendicular to said rear face and joined thereto by a re-entrant surface adapted for freeing a portion of said wires and shaped so that bending back of said body from a first position in which its rear face is in abutment against the card and plays the role of spacer defining a pre-determined distance between said rear face of the indicator lamp and the surface of the printed circuit for soldering said wires to a second position in which said reference surface is in abutment against the card, results in causing pre-determined bending of said wires.
Abstract:
A connection system for a printed circuit board employs either an inline or transverse board-mounted connector for holding board-mounted optical fibers. A plug-in connector can blind mate with the board-mounted connector. The plug-in connector has a plug-in connector body, a plug-in ferrule, and a plug-in ferrule holder. The plug-in holder latches with the plug-in connector body at either of two positions to selectively configure the plug-in connector for blind mating with either the inline or transverse board-mounted connector. The board-mounted fibers can be supported by a board-mounted ferrule assembly including a ferrule and a ferrule holder that is configured to selectively attach the board-mounted ferrule assembly to either of an inline board-mounted connector body and a transverse board-mounted connector body.
Abstract:
A strap for a wearable device comprises a printed circuit board (PCB) located within said strap. The PCB comprises a first electronic component, coupled to a first flexible portion. The first electronic component is mounted to a cage, the cage comprising a cage pivot mount. The flexible portion is under tension and urges said first electronic component towards said cage pivot mount such that a pivotable connection is formed between said cage and said first electronic component. Also disclosed is a method of manufacture of the strap.
