In addition, the power supply system (1) has a low voltage region (9) in which the electrical energy storage device (2) is arranged, and a high-voltage region (10) in which the electrical load (5) is arranged. It is proposed that the control device (8) be arranged essentially in the low-voltage region (9) of the power supply system (1). In one particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the control device (8) is integrated essentially in the voltage transformer (6).
