摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for preventing a call from being dropped in a mobile communication system, including a Mobile Station (MS) for reporting a temporal reception-impossible mode to a network if the MS enters a temporal reception-impossible state in a state where a call has been connected, and maintaining a Radio Link Timeout (RLT) value during a preset time period; and the network for maintaining the call with the MS during a preset time period after the temporal reception-impossible mode is reported from the MS. According to the apparatus, a call is maintained during a preset time period when an MS is in a temporal reception-impossible state, so that it is possible to prevent a call from being dropped.

摘要: A data recovery system for a serial digital data link includes a data sampler, compare logic, a phase controller, and a phase shifter. The data sampler samples input data three times in a bit time which time is determined by clock pulses generated by the phase shifter, and recovers digital data according to a predetermined decision criterion. Data sampling phases are split so as to track the data eye. The compare logic compares the output of the data sampler according to a predetermined method. Phase controller uses the output of the compare logic and generates phase control signals. These signals are set so as to control the sampling times of the data sampler and to attain near optimally recovered data stream. The phase shifter uses the phase control signals and makes three different phase clocks from input clock. The input clock can be an external clock, or can be recovered from the external clock or input data stream.

摘要: Dislosed is an apparatus and method for erasure detection and soft-decision decoding in a cellular system receiver. In the present invention, a complex channel gain and a noise variance of a received symbol from a cellular system transmitter are estimated, and an erasure symbol (a symbol with high power interference) is detected by comparing a threshold value according to the estimated complex channel gain or noise variance with power of the received symbol. Log-likelihood ratios corresponding to constituent bits of the detected erasure symbols are allowed to be 0, and the log-likelihood ratios of the constituent bits of the other received symbols are calculated. A soft-decision decoding operation of received bits is performed with the calculated log-likelihood ratios.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a nano-wire using a crystal structure, A crystal grain having a plurality of crystal faces is used as a seed, and a crystal growing material having a lattice constant difference within a predetermined range is deposited on the crystal grain, thereby allowing the nano-wire to grow from at least one of the crystal faces. Therefore, it is possible to give the positional selectivity with a simple process using a principle of crystal growth and to generate a nano-structure such as a nano-wire, etc. having good crystallinity. Further, it is possible to generate a different-kind junction structure having various shapes by adjusting a feature of a crystal used as a seed.
