摘要: A method of calculating a compensation value for an angle detecting sensor including a sensor unit, a signal converting section, a signal adjusting section, an arithmetic operation section, a memory section, and a compensator includes a first step of generating two signals having a predetermined phase difference from a plurality of output signals; a second step of calculating a rotation angle of an object from the two signals as an output angle before compensation; and a third step of extracting a candidate signal having a minimum residual energy in the signal after removal as the compensation value when a plurality of candidate signals having the same period but different amplitudes has been removed from a total error signal included in the output angle before compensation.

摘要: Current mirror circuits that are parts of a first circuit and a second circuit, respectively, allow the same constant current to flow through the input side and the output side. Therefore, the base-emitter voltages of transistors Tr1 and Tr4, which tend to vary due to a temperature variation, can be set identical and hence can cancel out each other sufficiently. The same is true of the base-emitter voltages of transistors Tr5 and Tr8. Therefore, an input signal can be converted by a function having reference voltages as change points without being affected by temperature. Desired function circuits can be obtained by combining first circuits and second circuits in various manners.

摘要: An optical branching device includes a main waveguide and a branching waveguide. A portion of the main waveguide is bent and the branching waveguide is placed close to the bent part of the main waveguide. The branching waveguide has a taper structure such that a width of the branching waveguide is gradually decreased in a propagation direction of light. A central axis of the branching waveguide is tilted from a line extended from a straight part of the main waveguide toward the direction X, or the bending direction of the main waveguide. An input end of the branching waveguide has a normal vector tilted from the central axis of the branching waveguide toward the direction Y, an opposite direction of the bending direction of the main waveguide. With above-mentioned structures, light radiated from the bent part of the main waveguide can be launched into the input end of the branching waveguide and transmitted through the branching waveguide efficiently.

摘要: An amplifying apparatus provided by the present invention comprises a direct-coupled inverting amplifier and an alternating-current feedback circuit as well as a direct-current feedback circuit connected between input and output terminals of the direct-coupled inverting amplifier, wherein the direct-current feedback circuit comprises an operating-point extracting circuit for extracting a direct-current component and a bias-voltage generator having a direct-current signal gain larger than an alternating-current signal gain thereof and a direct-current operating bias voltage of the direct-coupled inverting amplifier is set by using a signal output by the bias-voltage generator. Such a configuration enables the amplifying apparatus to offer high-speed operations, a large dynamic range and a highly stable direct-current operating point regardless of the type of a signal input therein and allows an alternating-current signal gain to be set independently of the stability of the direct-current operating point.

摘要: An optical reading device which is capable of being assembled readily and assures stabilization of the distance between a sensor of the reflecting type and a surface of a medium to be read by the sensor. The sensor is carried on a holding member, and an engaging member is pivotally supported on the holding member at a location spaced from the sensor. A screw shaft and a guide shaft extend in parallel to each other and to an axis of pivotal motion of the engaging member. The screw shaft has a spiral groove formed thereon for meshing engagement with a toothed portion formed on the engaging member or the holding member and is rotated to move the holding and engaging members therealong. A record medium to be read by the sensor is fed in a direction perpendicular to the screw shaft. A contact element is provided on the holding member for assuring a minimum distance between the sensor and a surface of the record medium to be read by the sensor. A resilient member is disposed between the holding and engaging members for urging them such that the contact element may be resiliently contacted with a sliding face and the toothed portion may be resiliently engaged with the spiral groove of the screw shaft.
