摘要: A canister including an elongated hollow plastic body having a wall with inner and outer surfaces, an edge portion on the wall defining an open end, an end on the edge portion extending transversely to the inner and outer surfaces, a porous plastic member having an outer edge portion extending across the open end and fused to the end, an inner portion on the porous plastic member located radially inwardly of the outer edge portion and extending into the body and fused to the inner surface of the wall adjacent the end thereof, and a gas-treating material in the body. A method of fabricating the above canister including the steps of applying pressure and vibratory welding energy to the porous member to thereby cause the member which was originally planar in shape to have its outer edge compressed against the end of the body and fused thereto and the central portion inwardly of the outer edge forced into the body and its outer edge fused to the inner surface of the body adjacent the end.

摘要: The present invention relates generally to the field of emission control equipment for boilers, heaters, kilns, or other flue gas-, or combustion gas-, generating devices (e.g., those located at power plants, processing plants, etc.) and, in particular to a new and useful method and apparatus for: (a) achieving a reduction in the level of one or more halogens, or halogen-containing compounds, necessary to affect gas-phase mercury control; (b) permitting the oxidation of at least a portion of any elemental mercury (Hg0) contained in a flue gas and/or combustion gas stream; and/or (c) permitting the oxidation of at least a portion of any elemental mercury (Hg0) contained in a flue gas and/or combustion gas stream so that the use of at least one post-oxidation mercury capture method and/or process results in the capture of at least a portion of oxidized mercury contained in the flue gas and/or combustion gas stream.

The filter assembly has an inner assembly having a filter material comprising fibrous media and a containment assembly having a first containment layer and a second containment layer. The containment assembly defines an outer perimeter and the first containment layer and a second containment layer are bonded along the outer perimeter in an outer weld area to encapsulate the inner assembly. The outer weld area extends between the outer perimeter and an interior perimeter. The inner assembly defines an inner assembly perimeter that is within the outer perimeter of the containment assembly.

摘要: An example rotational flow and sink flow coupling integrated system may include a spray layer, a slurry pool, a circulating pump, a rotational flow and sink flow coupling device, and a tube bundle-type dedusting and demisting device. The rotational flow and sink flow coupling device, which includes a plurality of rotational flow and sink flow coupling units and supporting beams for supporting the rotational flow and sink flow coupling device which are located therebelow, is mounted above the slurry pool and below the spray layer. The tube bundle-type dedusting and demisting device is arranged on top of a tower body; each rotational flow and sink flow coupling unit includes a rotational flow cylinder, a rotational flow rotor, and a flow guiding device. Both the components described in this paragraph and any other additional components may be implemented in various ways according to the present disclosure.

Also, a method for treating a flue gas that includes determining a sulfuric acid dew point for the flue gas and determining a coolant injection rate for a coolant to be injected into the flue gas to cause the flue gas to have a temperature of from about 20 to about 30° F. above the sulfuric acid dew point.

摘要: Herein are disclosed compositions of matter, processes of manufacture and processes of use of solid state admixtures that include an inorganic base and a sulfide selected from the group consisting of an ammonium sulfide, an alkali metal sulfide, an alkali-earth metal sulfide, transition metal sulfide, and a mixture thereof. The composition can include solid state inorganic bases (e.g., calcium hydroxide and sodium sesquicarbonate) and/or gaseous bases (e.g., ammonia) and, optionally, a support material for one or more of the inorganic base and sulfide. The compositions are useful for capturing environmental contaminants, for example, from the flue gas of a coal fired power plant.
