    Abstract: Methods, apparatus, computer program products, and systems for presenting a trip cost determination and/or a representation thereof to a user. An example method comprises receiving a pricing request comprising a user location and determining one or more cost model parameters, the one or more cost model parameters comprising at least one of current real-world conditions, predicted real-world conditions, user behavior characteristics, vehicle characteristics, and roadway information. The example method further comprises providing cost model information comprising at least one of (a) one or more cost model parameters, (b) a route, and (c) the user location and receiving a trip cost determination. The trip cost determination is determined based at least in part on the cost model information. The example method further comprises providing the trip cost determination and causing presentation of a representation of the trip cost determination through a user interface of a user apparatus.

    Abstract: A navigation system includes primary and secondary navigation device, and a server. The secondary navigation device transmits geolocation data to the server. The primary navigation device receives user input indicating a destination. The primary navigation device also determines a current route to the destination based on a current location of the primary navigation device, and transmits the current route to the server. The primary navigation device also receives and displays a difficulty index from the server in response to transmitting the current route. The server determines historical routes reflecting historical commutes based on the geolocation data. The server also determines the difficulty index based on the one or more historical routes and the current route, and transmits the difficulty index to the primary navigation device in response to receiving the current route.

    Abstract: A method for displaying a count-down timer may include, in one or more aspects, receiving data representing an initial estimated arrival time for a vehicle; dividing the initial estimated arrival time into preset time intervals; displaying within the vehicle an animation including a plurality of objects each representing one of the time interval. The animation may further include representing the passage of time by the sequential movement of the plurality of objects such that movement of the last object in the sequence is determined to coincide with the initial estimated arrival time, and selectively responding to only some updated estimates to arrival time by modifying the animation such that the movement of the last object in the sequence is determined to coincide with the update.

    Abstract: Systems and methods of determining commute tolerance areas are provided. For instance, profile data associated with a user can be obtained. Transportation data associated with a geographic area can be obtained. The geographic area can be determined based at least in part on the profile data. A frequently traveled commute of the user within the geographic area can be determined based at least in part on an origin location and a destination location. The origin location and the destination location can be determined based at least in part on the profile data. A commute time associated with the frequently traveled commute can be determined based at least in part on the origin location and the destination location and the transportation data. A commute tolerance area within the geographic area can be determined based at least in part on commute time.

    Abstract: A system for detecting inaccuracies in a global network satellite system receiver or a global positioning system receiver within a vehicle includes a global network satellite system receiver or a global positioning system receiver, an average position and standard deviation determination unit, an inaccuracy determination unit, and a vehicle controller. The global network satellite system receiver or global positioning system receiver receives a signal indicating a current position of a vehicle. The average position and standard deviation determination unit determines an average position and a standard deviation for a position of the vehicle. The inaccuracy determination unit determines whether the standard deviation for the position is greater than a standard deviation threshold. The vehicle controller adjusts safety applications of one of the vehicle or a remote vehicle if the standard deviation for the position is greater than the standard deviation threshold.
