The optical film includes a high concentration portion containing the additive, and a low concentration portion containing the additive at a concentration lower than the high concentration portion. The low concentration portion is provided on both sides of the high concentration portion in a thickness direction of the optical film, and the low concentration portion is provided on both sides of the high concentration portion in a width direction of the optical film.

Abstract: An apparatus for thermally bonding together a cover film of an ophthalmic lens package and a base part of the package, including a carrier for supporting the base part with film arranged thereon; a bonding unit above the carrier having a mounting plate with a bonding stamp extending therefrom, the bonding stamp having a mounting portion fixedly attached to the mounting plate, a bonding head arranged beneath the mounting portion with a heatable bonding contour on a side of the bonding head facing the carrier, and an articulated connector arranged between and connecting the mounting portion and the bonding head; and an actuator for performing movement of the carrier and the bonding stamp towards and away from each other for thermally bonding the film with the base part by pressing the heated bonding contour against the film and subsequent separation of the bonding head from the cover film bonded to the base part, the articulated connector being a cardanic joint with two rotational axes.

Abstract: A method of forming a three-dimensional object of polyurethane, polyurea, or copolymer thereof is carried out by: (a) providing a carrier and an optically transparent member having a build surface, the carrier and the build surface defining a build region therebetween; (b) filling the build region with a polymerizable liquid, the polymerizable liquid including at least one of: (i) a blocked or reactive blocked prepolymer, (ii) a blocked or reactive blocked diisocyanate, or (iii) a blocked or reactive blocked diisocyanate chain extender; (c) irradiating the build region with light through the optically transparent member to form a solid blocked polymer scaffold and advancing the carrier away from the build surface to form a three-dimensional intermediate having the same shape as, or a shape to be imparted to, the three-dimensional object, with the intermediate containing the chain extender; and then (d) heating or microwave irradiating the three-dimensional intermediate sufficiently to form from the three-dimensional intermediate the three-dimensional object of polyurethane, polyurea, or copolymer thereof.

Abstract: A protective film-attached functional sheet includes a protective film bonded to a functional sheet including aromatic polycarbonate sheets and a functional layer sandwiched between the aromatic polycarbonate sheets, the functional layer being a polyvinyl alcohol polarizing film layer, a photochromic layer, or a combination. The protective film is a polyolefin resin film that includes at least two layers: a base layer formed of a polypropylene having a melting point equal to or higher than a glass transition temperature of the aromatic polycarbonate and an adhesive layer on one surface of the base layer and being a resin composition containing a polyolefin rubber and a polyolefin having a melting point lower than the glass transition temperature but equal to or higher than 15° C. lower than the glass transition temperature; or at least three layers: the aforementioned two layers and an intermediate layer between the base layer and the adhesive layer.

Abstract: An injection mold and a device for preparation of a light guide plate are provided by embodiments of the present disclosure. An injection mold, comprising a male mold and a female mold which cooperate with each other to define collectively a molding cavity adapted for molding a sheet component therein; a blowing device is provided in the male mold and configured to blow out gas with a predetermined pressure towards a bottom surface of the sheet component molded in the molding cavity to overcome at least partially a vacuum adsorption force between the bottom surface of the sheet component and an internal bottom surface of the molding cavity such that the sheet component is separated from the male mold. Therefore, the sheet component can be demoulded successfully and prevented from a relatively large warping deformation during a demoulding process such that the quality thereof can be guaranteed.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a new and efficient heating tank for the fusion splicer and a fusion splicer, which comprises a heating tank body and a heating tank upper cover, among which, the said heating tank body is used to accommodate a heat shrinkable tube wrapped with a fiber welding point and heated to shrink the heat shrinkable tube, and the said heating tank body comprises a heating side surface and a heating bottom surface, while the said heating side surface and the heating bottom surface are connected with each other, and the heat shrinkable tube is in contact with at least either the heating side surface or the heating bottom surface during the preheating and thermal shrinkage; the said heating tank upper cover comprises a pressing portion, while the said pressing portion is narrower than the opening of the said heating tank body, and comes into contact with the heat shrinkage tube and exerts an acting force during the preheating and thermal shrinkage of the tube. The invention can speed up the thermal shrinkage process, reduce the heat shrinkage time, greatly improve the heat conduction efficiency, and reduce the cost, be more environment-friendly.

Abstract: This invention discloses a method of forming an uneven structure on a substrate. Use a hard tool to penetrate into a mold to cut a first trench and a second trench in an order on a surface of a mold, wherein the hard tool has a smoothly-curved shape such that the transverse width of each of the first trench and the second trench increases as the penetrating depth of the hard tool increases, wherein when each of the first trench and the second trench marches along a first direction, the penetrating depth of the hard tool is controlled by repeating moving the hard tool up and down to cut the mold such that the transverse width of each of the first trench and the second trench varies according to the controlled penetrating depth of the hard tool, wherein the first trench and the second trench completely overlap with each other with no space therebetween. Then, use the surface of the mold to emboss a thin film on a substrate.

Abstract: An optic can manage light emitted by a light emitting diode. The optic can comprise a backside that faces the light emitting diode and a front side opposite the backside. The front side can be convex. The backside can have a central region that is adjacent the light emitting diode and that is either concave or convex. One or more grooves can extend peripherally about the central region. An injection molding system can produce optics in which the backside comprises the concave central region as well as optics in which the backside comprises the convex central region. The molding system can utilize one molding member shaped according to the front side of the optic. That molding member can be compatible with two other molding members that are shaped according to the different backsides of the optic. Thus, two different optic forms can be produced with three molding members.
