Abstract:
A non-volatile memory device includes a memory cell array and a voltage generator. The memory cell array has a plurality of cell strings in which a plurality of memory cells are connected with each other in series between a string select transistor and a ground select transistor. The voltage generator generates a program voltage, a first pass voltage, and a second pass voltage. A first boost channel voltage applied when programming an outermost memory cell from among the memory cells of each of non-selected cell strings of the cell strings is lower than a second boost channel voltage applied when programming one of remaining memory cells except for the outermost memory cell. The non-volatile memory device prevents programming disturb caused by hot carrier injection.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for reducing the interference caused by a femtocell in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of: measuring the intensity of a signal received from a terminal when the transmission mode is deactivated; and controlling the transmission mode to be activated according to the signal intensity, and thus has the advantage of decreasing the influence effects caused by the femtocell and reducing the power consumption in a femto base station.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for recognizing characters in a portable terminal with a scan module. Scanned image data is generated by the scan module by scanning a scan target through a scanning-light input/output panel provided on an external surface of the portable terminal as the portable terminal moves across the scan target. Part of the scanned image data is deleted when a current moving speed of the portable terminal is less than a lower limit of an optimal scan speed range, and character recognition is performed on remaining scanned image data. Image data most similar to the scanned image data is detected from a previously stored correction image database when the current moving speed is greater than an upper limit of the optimal scan speed range, and characters corresponding to the detected image data are output as character recognition results.
Abstract:
A process for encapsulating pigment dispersions is provided where a pigment is dispersed with a polymeric dispersant in an aqueous solvent system. The encapsulation process has at least two additions of encapsulating monomers followed by polymerization. To a pigment dispersed with a polymeric dispersant is added an encapsulating monomer(s) and a polymerization initiator is added which forms a stage 1 encapsulated pigment. Then a second encapsulating monomer(s) is added and these monomers are polymerized by a second addition of polymerization initiator, forming a second stage encapsulated pigment. The second encapsulating monomer(s) may be added continuously to the stage 1 encapsulated pigment. Such encapsulated pigment dispersions may be used in inkjet inks and are stable to heat, aging test conditions, and solvent challenges. Prints from these inks have better durability.

Abstract:
A system on chip (SOC) includes a slave device, a plurality of master devices, an interconnect device and a plurality of service controllers. The master devices generate requests to demand services from the slave device. The interconnect device is coupled to the slave device and the master devices through respective channels, and the interconnect device performs an arbitrating operation on the requests. The service controllers control request flows from the master devices adaptively depending on an operational environment change of the SOC.

Abstract:
There is provided a method for handover of a terminal in a wireless access system using multi-carrier operation. The method comprises: receiving a handover command message from a serving base station; and performing network reentry to a target base station based on the handover command message, wherein the handover command message includes information required for handover to the target base station and information on whether the target base station supports handover using multi-carriers. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently perform the handover in the wireless access system supporting the multi-carriers.
Abstract:
This document discloses a method and apparatus for image encoding/decoding which support multiple layers. The method for image decoding comprises analyzing a video parameter set (VPS) extension for layer dependency on a current layer, analyzing slices for layer dependency on a current slice by determining whether not to apply layer dependency to the current slice or to apply new layer dependency to the current slice, the new layer dependency determining within a range of layer dependency analyzed from the VPS extension, and constructing a reference picture list about the current layer based on at least one of layer dependency analyzed from the VPS extension and layer dependency analyzed from the slice.
