Then, a resist layer is formed to cover the resonator assembly and the base layer. Then, a through-hole is formed in the resist layer so that the base layer is exposed via the through-hole. Then, etchant is supplied via the through-hole to make a space in the base layer under the resonator assembly. Finally, the resist layer is removed.

A pair of coil is disposed in opposing relationship on the opposite sides of the ferrite core along an X-axis or in the horizontal direction of the deflection yoke so as to be in contact with an open side end of the ferrite core. Each coil has a shape curved with a predetermined radius of curvature conforming to the shape of the outer peripheral surface of the ferrite core. The ferrite core acts as a magnetic material for the coils which reduces the unnecessary radiating magnetic fields to increase the coil inductances to thereby produce a large extremely low frequency magnetic field (ELMF) reducing effect.

An acoustic wave device of the present application includes a piezoelectric substrate (14), interdigital transducer electrodes (13) formed on the piezoelectric substrate (14), and an SiO2 film (12) formed so as to cover the electrodes (13). The acoustic wave device also includes a displacement adjustment film (11) formed on the SiO2 film (12), and the displacement adjustment film (11) is formed from a substance whose acoustic velocity is slower than that of the substance forming the SiO2 film (12). According to this configuration, it is possible to suppress unnecessary waves as well as improve temperature characteristics. Also, by mounting such an acoustic wave device in a communication module or communication apparatus, it is possible to achieve an improvement in reliability.

An interconnection pattern is provided on the surface of the substrate in correspondence to a region offset from the passage of the surface acoustic waves for connecting the second parts of adjacent interdigital electrodes with each other.
