    Abstract: A liquid crystal material is prevented from being degraded by a voltage to control the shift of the threshold voltage which is applied to a back gate on the same conductive film as a pixel electrode. A liquid crystal display device includes a pixel circuit including a pixel electrode which applies an electric field to a liquid crystal layer; and a driver circuit including a transistor including a first gate and a second gate with a semiconductor film interposed therebetween. The transistor overlaps with the liquid crystal layer. A signal for controlling on/off of the transistor is input to the first gate. A signal for applying a first voltage is input to the second gate in a gate line selection period. A signal for alternately applying the first voltage and a second voltage is input to the second gate in a vertical retrace period.

    Abstract: The display device includes a gate electrode, a gate insulating film provided over the gate electrode, a semiconductor film provided over the gate insulating film to overlap with the gate electrode, an island-shaped first insulating film provided over the semiconductor film to overlap with the gate electrode, a first conductive film provided over the semiconductor film, a pair of second conductive films which is provided over the semiconductor film and between which the first insulating film is sandwiched, and a second insulating film provided over the first insulating film, the first conductive film, and the pair of second conductive films. In the second insulating film and the semiconductor film, an opening portion which is positioned between the first conductive film and the one or the other of the pair of second conductive films is provided.

    Abstract: To improve display quality of a pixel of an organic EL panel. Display correction is performed in the pixel with a small number of transistors in the pixel of the organic EL panel. A capacitor and an oxide semiconductor transistor are formed in a display driver IC. A minute current flowing in the pixel is measured from the amount of change in capacitor voltage to correct display. Because the off-state current of an oxide semiconductor is extremely small even at high temperatures, current can be accurately measured and display images can be accurately corrected.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an EL display device, which has a high operating performance and reliability.A third passivation film 45 is disposed under an EL element 203 which comprises a pixel electrode (anode) 46, an EL layer 47 and a cathode 48, to make a structure in which heat generated by the EL element 203 is radiated. Further, the third passivation film 45 prevents alkali metals within the EL element 203 from diffusing into the TFTs side, and prevents moisture and oxygen of the TFTs side from penetrating into the EL element 203. More preferably, heat radiating effect is given to a fourth passivation film 50 to make the EL element 203 to be enclosed by heat radiating layers.

    Abstract: There is provided an active matrix EL display device that can display a clear multi gray-scale color display to reduce the shift in the potential caused by the potential drop due to the wiring resistance of a power source supply line, in order to decrease the unevenness in a display region. A plurality of drawing out ports of the power source supply line are arranged. Further, in the wiring resistance between the external input terminal and the pixel portion power source supply line, potential compensation is performed by supplying potential to the power source supply line by a feedback amplifier. Further, in addition to above structure, the power source supply line may be arranged in a matrix.
